It really is refreshing to hear someone speak out about their mental health with brutal honesty, and not only that, but he doesn't make a huge thing of it, just throws it out there in casual conversation and carries on like it's widely normal to do so, which makes it all the better. I'm from Yorkshire as well, and there's not a lot of understanding or acceptance of mental health, even health professionals handle much of it poorly (if at all), so it's nice to know there's others out there making something of themselves in spite of their mental health. I doubt we'll ever see the day when Joe takes to social media, though, he's said often enough that he prefers to stay away from all of that, to keep his privacy, and also because he's not very good at using sites. As much as I love him and would want more of him in our lives, I respect his choice there, and in fact I love him more for it.
