- In this video I took the whole process of brew head gasket replacement. It is an easy procedure that you should do once a year in order not to having leaks around your portafilter.
Thank you so much. That screw idea worked like a charm and helped keep me from gouging the brass. My old gasket was so stiff it’s no wonder it got a crack.
Great video with excellent tips regarding thorough cleaning prior to gasket installation and info about 6 o'clock position check. Thank you!
Very helpful video. Straight and to the point. I was able to replace the gasket on my Rancilio Silvia V1. Thanks!
This was very helpful! Thank you
I’m thinking about the Rancilio Silvia or the Lelit Anna ant advice
Thank you!
Thanks!
Thank you. Going to try this. Out of the box, my Silvia has been leaking from the portafilter/grouphead. When I press the handle (to make it flush with the grouphead) it starts leaking somewhere else! Right now leaving it as is, it leaks at the top of the handle though.
That is the reason I not to use OEM gaskets as they are tend to leak from 8 bars and up
Hi, i just replaced my group head gasket with a genuine Rancilio one and have now found i have to turn the group handle further to the right to avoid it leaking during a coffee pour? Any ideas why, have I done something wrong?
Do you use an original Rancilio basket and portafilter?
This happened to me too. I replaced it with a Rancilio gasket. I am using the same portafilter and basket. It does not leak but the handle now reaches the red dot.
What is your experience on the durability of the head gasket? How often do you have to change it? Due to regular maintainance or only because of leaking?
If you use silicone, it last 2-3 years, foe standard 1-2 years.
@@coffeeforumsbg So you say, if mine is 7 years now, I have to do something... 😁
