I'm lucky to live in a country that has one of the cleanest tap waters in the whole world, so tap water is safe for our birds 🚰🦜🦜

I gave my birds tap water and I have been doing it for like 3 years, all of them seem to be fine, however , we have no other water supply accept for bottles which we don’t often get, should i continue giving them tap, water?

It depends where you live. My 25 years young cockatiel has had tapwater all her life here in the UK. I drink it and she drinks it. If your water is not safe for you to drink, don't give it to your bird.

    I Cant Afford A Big Cage😢

Awww. I'm sorry. Birds are very smart, so funny, and cute. But.... If you can't afford the cage, you really shouldn't own a bird, unfortunately. One veterinarian visit can cost as much as a cage. The food they need (nutritional pellets, NOT seed) is pretty expensive. Then, the cost of replacing cleaners that can harm them for bird-safe alternatives, replacing anything with non-stick teflon for ceramic or stainless steel, and so on. It is a lifestyle. It's very expensive, especially at first. You need to always have a lot of toys you cycle in their cage so they dont get bored and always have very clean water. Mice, birds, dogs, and yes, even cats, all need research done to understand exactly what they will need. It's a bummer sometimes. I realy want amphibians, but I won't get any because I know at this point, I can't afford to give my cat, dog, and 2 birds the best food and health care AND own some cute frogs. I hope one day you can afford the cage! Birds are such good companions!
