- First Time Selling At The Farmers Market, How Did We Do?
We got loaded up early and took this weeks harvest of tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini and onions to the Houston Mississippi farmers market. This was the very first time we have ever sold our produce at the farmers market and it went pretty well!
We still need to improve on our setup and next week we plan to bring some baked goods and canned goods to improve our sales. Making money selling at the farmers market is the goal here!

Greetings from Northeast Ohio. Excited for you. We have a farmers market in our little village as well. My dad always taught me to take the stems off of the tomatoes. If you don’t, they poke into the other tomatoes, sitting on them in the basket and ruin them so we take the stems off as we pick them from the vine.

If you want a lot of foot traffic you should checkout setting up at Pontotoc’s Farmers Market. One of the biggest in North MS.

I looked up on maps houston farmers market mississippi. I will drive down in a month..you are still being there I live in Florence Alabama I don't have any thing to do so it would be a great trip. This week I am starting bridge work so I will be close to a month if you guy are still there. Looks so much fun I watch all you friends channel for yrs I am 73 no one around so it would be great to come down

The people who do not are at work during the farmers market. If you grow a good vegetable you will make money at the farmers market as you build your name. ❤❤

Syd should make up a bunch of firecrackers and see how they sell. Can't believe there were people with better tomatoes then Mike's. I followed his advise on growing them and my tomatoes are beautiful and plenty. This is the first year that I don't have any tomatoes splitting on me.When I had my huge garden I use to put stuff on a staand in my front yeard with a donation box. People didn't have to pay for stuff but could donate and there were very getnerous people. I would taake stuff down to the old fokes home. They loved all the vegetable.

Ok, Mike, you need a couple more tables. One on each side & your one in front. Put out all your produce on display. The more you have out, the more eye apeal you have. People are attracted to abundance & color. If you are going to sell tomato sauce, pasta sauce, spaghetti sauce, or anything else you can, offer a discount on their next purchase if they return your canning jars & lids & rings. Those things are getting expensive, so don't forget to factor in that cost into your sales. And one more thing that might help a bit. Get your sign maker to put the CZcams Icon on your sign. Some people may come up to buy something with the hope of seeing themselves on a future CZcams video that they could direct their friends & family to (always good to ask if they are alright with them being on the video). Gonna see about getting you guys a package or 2 in the mail tomorrow or Tuesday. Hope they get there before next weekend. Have a great day 😊.

After I moved to Virginia and had no place to plant a garden, I would go to the local farmers market and buy a bushel/carton full of farm grown red ripe tomatoes to eat. Did I tell you I ❤ love tomatoes. I eat tomato slices 3 times ever day 365. ❤ ❤ ❤ 🍅 🍅 🍅

So much going on this video, first who ever is in charge of the music, a big thumbs up. And Syd, an excellent job of editing, wish we could have seen the reunion of the lost dog with his owner (maybe in a future vid?).
