- Our First Harvest From Our Garden! Growing So Much Food For Farmers Market & Pantry.
This Saturday will be our very first time selling at the farmers market. So far, it looks like we will have a nice amount of cucumbers, zucchini and tomatoes. It's amazing how much produce this garden has grown in this last week, now that it is at this stage we should be getting a good bit of food every week.
We will be canning a lot of this for our family and putting it up in our pantry but we also want to be at the farmers market every week for the rest of the season and try to get this garden to pay for itself, perhaps even make some money the first year... Wouldn't that be great!

The father daughter relationship, is so freaking Special.. I so admire seeing you an Miss Frankie...❤💪🏼😊😂🤣🍅🫑🌶🥒🥕🥔🍅
Mike, you and Frankie have such a beautiful, special relationship!!!!! She loves her papa!!!
The purple pepper is called Capsicum Annuum, also known as Facing Heaven pepper.
I’m a 70 year old Southern California girl who loves tomato sandwiches. I can only imagine what your slicing tomatoes taste like. My mouth is watering! Great looking veggies too!
I'm a 69 year old Northern California guy but lived in the beach cities of LA. for 59 years!! How about that!
Love the relationship you two have! Your banter and common interests are priceless!
Father daughter time is priceless I have two son’s and lost my daughter before she was born my heart hurts every day and I can’t wait to meet her one day in heaven so I love your channel and love the lesson you are teaching your daughter Mike ,Sid and Frankie you’re awesome!
Prayers for your sweet girl and a sweet reunion one day in heaven 🙏
You are blessed to have such a beautiful, sweet dutiful daughter. ❤
Mike prune your old squash leaves off so your plants continue to produce heavy.
Thank you sir! I'll do that. What do you recommend for squash bugs eating away at the main stem?
@@3MISSISSIPPI I've had some luck using fish emulsion and Dr earth bloom and grow. It stinks so bad I use it weekly. If it gets to bad I run my knife point int the stem and puncture the worm killing it.
Bountiful Garden Harvest ! Another Awesome 3 Mississippi Video 📹 Mike ,Syd + Frankie have a wonderful week .
The relationship you two have is so sweet. She is a awesome young lady. Your garden looks great. Keep on growing!!🌾🌻🍓🌶️🍅🥕

Google shows it’s possibly black prince peppers, here is what the pepper identification from Google says.
The Black Prince pepper is a chili pepper named after the black prince, Edward of Woodstock. It is a cultivar of the species Capsicum annuum and is a very hot pepper, rating at around 30,000 Scoville Heat Units. The Black Prince pepper was developed in the early 1990s by The Chile Pepper Institute at New Mexico State University.
The Black Prince pepper is mostly used as an ornamental plant but can also be used for culinary purposes. When used culinarily, it is typically used in salsas, sauces, and marinades. It can also be used to make chili powder.
You and your daughters relationship is priceless. I love that phase Jesus is always watching, but so is Dad!!
Frank is beginning to look a lot like Mama! Beautiful 😊😊
I hate to say it but I think I have Tomatoe envy. Y’all have an amazing garden. Great job!
Ha ha thank you 🙏
Ya Pop you better keep that shotgun handy! Love you guys! God bless you all! Stay safe!
father daughter time is so perishes love that part of life
I love nothing better than a big juicy tomato sandwich!!
Canned okra to fry is amazing. Looks like you are going to have a ton.
Frankie is awesome she can do and does more than most 18 yr old boys do today sadly. You can see mama's influence now that she's a teen wearing makeup in the video's lol but not too much. Y'all have done well with her. You should do well at the market Mike.
Hi Mike and Franky. Your garden looks fantastic Mike your sure getting some nice produce. That whole area you live in is beautiful and yes your neighbours pond is very nice. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
Holy Crap what a garden! You truly have a green thumb
He Mike has A Green Body 😅 I’am Convinced Master Gardener 🍅🥒🥬🌽🫑🧅🥕
Beautiful garden. Looking forward to watching you do a seed harvesting Mike.😍
Wow that's a lot of vegetables cucumbers tomatoes Peppers zucchi
Mike, when I had my produce stands, I used to get the blue plastic bowls from Dollar Tree/Dollar & a Quarter Tree, drill a few holes in the bottoms so they wouldn't retain water (if it rained), & used them for my tomato baskets. One time cost & they'll last for years. You can get bags from your smaller store sometime or in a pinch if the delivery was late, I'd hit the recycle bin they keep by the entrance to Publix 🤫 (don't tell 😂). Have a great day 😊.
God gave you a wonderful gift when he blessed you with Frankie...
💯
That was a good harvest. You and Frankie have such a bond, so nice.
Great garden. You have one of my favorite properties. So beautiful. Your daughter is so adorable. Love your channel.
Thank you so much ! We were definitely blessed with this place ( and our daughter 😂)
Nice looking garden you and Frankie have raised proud for y’all
Thank you 🙏
I am happy watching your time together in the farm❤❤❤
Beautiful Frankie😊 how fun to drive around like that😊
Great harvest. Everything looks great. Good luck at the market. Thanks for sharing✌️🇺🇸❤️
Hello from west point, ms...not too far from you !! You have an amazing garden / homestead....but more importantly a Fabulous Family !!! Love watching you guys !! Our west point farmers market on thursday afternoons is pretty small as well...not too many vendors...
Good luck at your next market !
The purple pepper looks like a M.A.M.P. Purple BerryGum - (Capsicum chinense) pepper. It is a sweet pepper that gets about 2 inches long. A hybrid pepper from Italy.
I don't care for tomatoes either but I found a slice with some salt won me over. My dad told me a story when I was much younger than you that he always carried a little salt shaker in his pocket and he would eat tomatoes in the field. I prefer them light to medium red and cold in the refrigerator with salt.
Purple UFO Hot's, Pretty in Purple Peppers. Luv'n the Garden Vids Boss !
There it is! This space to leave a comment wasn't here awhile for me 😂
Awesome harvest! ❤
😂
Mike You have a awesome garden Sir.
The purple peppers are Capsicum peppers according to my Picture this app. Moderately spicy taste.
Your garden looks great! Lots of variety and good eats. I'm a little surprised how well it did given the later start you got. I hope your zucchinis and squashes don't get hit by the squash bugs /borers. Here in South Mississippi, we can't seem to get a break from them. Never had them in Central Mississippi where I grew up or in North Alabama where we lived for years and had massive garden productivity out of very small spaces. Since you have the tractor(s) and the equipment now, you ought to put yourself in a millet patch for dove season. Since you are experienced with quail for food, I'm sure you'd like them and bet you could add a hundred or so doves to your freezer over a couple of areas of millet. You have the time before it starts the first week of September. Your habitat looks perfect for high dove counts, and its great target practice. Early mornings, late evenings--sit on a bucket under the shade trees and blast away. Hope your Farmers' Market is a success.
Mike I think your mystery purple peppers are either Pretty In Purple, or Purple Prince, but the look more like the PIP variety.
Hmm 🧐
I came down to say the same. Grew a similar pepper, bouquet pepper, beginning fifty or so years ago. When I used them to make chili, I would cut the stems off and add whole to the pot. Easier to see that way and not accidently put into a bowl. Only had one person try and eat one from the pot.
You and daughter work hard in gardening
Hey Mike, put a game camera over a mineral lick for deer and watch the buck antlers grow from now until October. I suggest putting it in a secluded place by your food plot.
That's a cool idea!
Outstanding good to see both again I’m hungry again
Good looking garden the first harvest is always the best.I enjoyed the video God bless.
Mike you and Frankie should try a laundry hamper to help with your harvest. You'll be able to collect more per row.
Great idea! Thanks!
Love me so tomatoes 🍅
According to the Plantin plant identifier app, it says this plant is a Jalapeño Chili plant
t
The species is a Capsicum also known as cayenne chilli pepper bell pepper poblano and several others
That drive through the property was fun 👍❤️... The garden is amazing. Fabulous harvest 😯👊💥❤️
Not a fan of the zucchini. But yellow straight or crook neck squash is the best! Okra is awesome too. The zucchini, squash and cucumbers can be picked way before they get real big. When they get big you have so many big seeds. And the plants will make a boatload more after first harvest. My wife and son don't eat hardly any vegetables but mo fo me! And a fresh tomato sandwich with a little mayo is a meal in itself! Enjoy your videos!
Like the kitty supervisor 😅
Y'all should get a steer or 2 to raise and finish.
We have plans for that with part of our friends herd 😜
Great harvest, great job guys👍 your going to need a bigger four-wheeler to haul all the grocery😁👍🍺
Happy Thursday MRS.SDY GOD BLESS
Nice harvest. The weeds would bother me in my garden. I'm told I keep my vegetable garden like my flower beds. Love seeing the relationship with Mike and Frankie. Mike keeps Frankie laughing. Do you grow bell peppers. Didn't see any. Have to have them for my pepper relish and sauteed with onions for my steaks and hamburgers.
After being gone they sprung up 😂 but he tries to keep them down .
You next a Dexter steer on that pasture, best beef for a small homestead in my opinion
I so need to proofread before I send I meant you need lol 😂
Purple Tiger Chili is what I’m thinking
Absolutely gorgeous garden! Rock on, guys
Save the big yellow ones for seeds
Love you guys! 🐊🦅🇺🇸❤️
A girl that carries a pocket knife is a good one.
💯
Hey guys I’m watching your live right now and I don’t know what date is Wednesday, July 19, and you just mentioned your okra how it’s just starting to flower. I am mediately thought you guys should get a hoop house and or a greenhouse you have the space. That would get everything warm and growing ahead of time so when you hit the farmers market you’re gonna have everything already ripe and ready I think before your neighbors so it gives you an edge in the sales and sales market. Also I did some research with the department of agriculture I think it was and they will give you like 100 foot long hoop house which is like the greenhouse for the walls go up and down so you can let it air rate and get cool if you buy it and build it have it inspected, they will check it off and approve it and give you your money back and pay for everything. It’s just an idea I had for y’all so check it out if you have a minute.
Beautiful Everything ❤❤
Love watching your gardening videos
Wow that's alot of cucs❤
I’m guessing purple tiger chili pepper on your purple peppers. Reading up on them they are similar to jalapeño in their heat level. Great harvest guys!! Have a great week!
Ohhh maybe 🤔! Thank you 🙏 I hope you guys have a great week too !
Show off! Lol very nice garden y’all
😂
😂😂😂
Awesome job y’all 👍🏻🤠🇺🇸
Or Sid has to process all those veggies
Good morning Mike & Frankie
Your gardens are AMAZING.
Fruits of your labor.
BOUNTIFUL ❤🌱🌞🇺🇸
Have a wonderful day 🇺🇸
Mike you going to be at farmers market tomorrow
Yep 👍
enJOY THAT YA'LL DOING GOOOOOOOD
Beautiful Garden ! Wishing a successful Farmers Market experience.
Thank you
ALL THAT HARD WORK YALL GOOD JOB !
Possible purple beauty peppers, type of bell pepper, but just a guess.
Good afternoon y'all
Hey y'all!!! Dad givin baby girl a rough time love it. Have a wonderful and blessed evening y'all!!! With the way they're growing they look like a Bolivian Rainbow
That tall grass is Johnson grass and it ain't even thru growing! Our humidity makes the heat and cold stick to ya. Pretty in purple peppers? They're shaped like Bolivian Rainbow peppers without the other colors, which look exactly like Chinese 5 colors. I give up. Good luck at the farmer's market!
Send Cmon a picture of the deer Frankie is going to be able freeze for dinner.
😂 #davidcantshootstraight
Everything looking good.
Frankie is a pretty girl Mike and she has a great personality
Thank you 🙏
Mega haul from the garden! ❤
Beautiful 1st harvest
I like the zucchini about 2 inches thick and I'll slice them with a cheese slicer and freeze them
I notice when you thaw them out alot of the water gets pulled out and makes it nicer for frying and or baking in my zucchini lasagna
My cucs are about to start been picking green beans and broccoli corns tasseling love this time of year
Oh good tip !
Amazing garden haul.
your garden looks amazing thank you for sharing
Wow a good harvest.
Love your garden videos
❤😊
Hey Mike, I have a question, do you stuff from squash bugs? We have to battle them every other day and have literally tried everything I believe.
Love seeing you and Frankie working together ❤ 😊
I paused the video in just the right spot and turned on my Seek app; it says its a Chili Pepper Capsicum annuum. Now since I took the pic/scan from TV it could be wrong, but this app hasn't let me down yet. I have cucumber envy--ants tried to kill mine, but I brought it back so my plant is about half the size of yours--course central Texas hasn't had rain since May and the oven is hot over -whew!
Oh boy !
You and Frankie have the best father daughter relationship. I like my cucumbers small….wish mine had done better. Did you and Frankie ever see the horses?
Thank you 🙏 and yes the horses were fine … they found them much later .
That should have been Mystery Pepper.
Mike, it looks to be a Chinese Five Color Pepper. Its similar to a tabasco...
That seems to be the most common answer so I’m gonna go with that one 😂
It's a pretty in purple hot pepper dwarf ornament plant
Hey Mike, I think the mystery tomato is a Capsicum annum named "Facing Heaven Pepper.
Good luck at the farmers market! Look forward to seeing how it goes. I'm going with Chinese Five Color on the peppers. Grew some a while back. Those look very similar.
Could be the Black Prince Pepper.
You need a pig from kinfolk Farm. You could do like him and feed old or unsaleable produce to pigs
He has 2 sows with baby pigs know
We can’t have pigs here if we want to still be able to have our neighbors over and go to our neighbors property because they own a large commercial hog farm across the way. But you should be surprised what chickens and goats and horses can disappear when it comes to the garden.
@3MISSISSIPPI Our chickens get stuff straight from the garden. The coop and run area is between 2 gardens and we just toss stuff 😂
