I am a Palestinian American living in the US my whole life. My parents are Palestinian immigrants. I am well versed on the heartbreaking struggles and cruelty that my people have lived through at the hands of Isreal. And I was not raised in the culture of either one of those 50+ countries, but for the better or worse, was raised in the culture of Black American / African American culture, and I’m proud of the culture that we do have and what we’ve shared with the world. I love African people, but we do not share the same cultural experience. And that’s okay.
His understanding is NOT that deep, his knowledge of this issue starts in 2007 when this issue is roughly 2000 years old. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about in fact he’s not giving an unbiased view of the situation.

On point as always by Marc. The only point I'll add to when Charlemagne asked "why is the US is so heavily committed to Israel" is because of the powerful Israel lobby (AIPAC), which has immense influence over major sectors of our society and to which EVERY politician goes to be blessed before running for office. That's why anytime politicians have to defend the atrocities of Israel, they - like robots reading off the same flash cards - repeat that "Israel has the right to defend itself".
Excellent point. The US sends Israel taxpayers money in aid and Israel pays off our politicians in campaign contributions (legal bribes) to tow their line. There are only a handful of US politicians that are not in Israel's pocket.
The other reason is to maintain influence in the region against Iran.

As an African, I am pround of this man for speaking for the Palestinians. He is absolutely right about Isreal violating international laws and the language used to dehumanized Marginalized people. Now, what generally happens when you lose a war? You often lose land. That is exactly what started happening with Israel, but people will paint it as their "expansion". NO! They got attacked, they defended and won and the losing aggressor lost parts of land. Now keep in mind the bits of land we are talking about are TINY!! The entire area of Israel is about the size of New Jersey in America. That is ALL the Jews had. While Arabs had over 50 nations at the time and still have about 25 or so in that region-- Israel was declaring their tiny sliver of land as their official state so that NO ONE could ever come and drive them out ever again. Fast forward to The gaza, West bank situation-- How many times has Israel offered peace and a 2 state solution? Countless times. I have more to say, but my fingers are cramping. There is a TON wrong with the way history is told about this conflict.
