- In late February 2019 I set off for a 2 week motorcycle trip from the Gold Coast in Queensland, down to Victoria. The purpose of the trip was to catch up with family and friends, but also to attend the AuStrom Suzuki V-Strom group's annual get together, held in Bright, the gateway to Victoria's alpine region which is home to some of the best motorcycling roads in Australia.
In this video we hit the famous and rather twisty Omeo Highway before heading over Falls Creek back to Bright. A brilliant ride through the Victorian High Country.

Too bloody right! I'm hoping to do it again in a few weeks time! Did you see the last video I put up? It was the dirt route you suggested.
Lil Nerby has all of the dirt routes...
The legendary Bonang Road between Orbost and Delegate River on the NSW border in Far East Gippsland is now fully sealed and one of the best bike roads in the country, though the bottom section between Martin’s Creek and Goongerah (heading north) currently needs plenty of repair work …
Yeah I saw that it was now sealed. I've ridden it a few times, the last time just after the 2020 fires in this video.

They are very good down that way! I just returned from another trip down there and was hoping to ride this one again, but the weather and time wasn't on my side. But still had a great trip.

It is such a great ride in that area. I'm heading that way very soon but it will be a lot colder on this visit that's for sure!
What incredible twisty roads.... def looked like a hot day. Interesting to know about the yellow road markings.... I keep forgetting Aus gets a lot of snow in some parts! That is a tall hill... our tallest locally to me is around 200m IIRC 😀
Yeah, we do get some good elevation in parts. The highest I got on the trip I just returned home from was over 1400m above sea level. Typically, I was riding through that area just on sunset and it was absolutely bloody freezing! LOL

It is one of the best i think, but you turn off before the best part at anglers rest (in my opinion anyway). Cheers 4 sharing sir.
Yeah we knew that, but it was getting late in the afternoon and we had to get back to Bright and if we'd done that extra bit, we would have been pushing it. 2 days after this ride I crossed paths with you!

That really was a ridiculous day of riding, this massive road ride after the epic dirt road ride! Awesome stuff mate!
