It truly is amazing that you only have to till strips and the guidance puts the seed in the row, acre after acre. First days are shakedown days. Still amazing to plant 70 acres before a loose fitting showed up. Impressive planter so far. Good luck with the rest of planting.
Great content as always. I hope you have a successful planting season. Keep the action and knowledge coming. Definitely look you up at the next one. Busy time of season you all stay safe!!

Nothing mean meant by this comment. I hate putting on 32% with a sprayer after planting corn. I would just soon put it on with the planter myself. Thanks young man. Hope all your corn is up by now.😂😂😂😂👍👍

Thanks for another great video Brian. It was an interesting and informative and enjoyable video. Congratulations on a successful first day of planting corn with a new machine!!!! From what you all said just a few adjustments to be made and a couple of loose fittings is all on the new planter, great. With dad turning the corn planting over to you, you will have the new machine mastered. Good going Brian. Appears to be a really nice machine. And the Fendt tractor is a good match. Good going. Sounds like rain which will help what you planted. Glad your first day went well. Thanks for everything Brian. You all take care and be safe. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
First I have seen a Massey Ferguson corn planter - did not know it was offered. In Iowa, corn planters are dominated by Deere with a minority share by Kinze and Case IH. - Doug in Iowa
just a little psa most railway crossings have a sign with a number on it to call, if your ever stuck on a crossing or lost or need help you can call that number and they can stop the trains or guide emergency services to your location
Hey, Brian planting season.Looks to be going pretty well for you.Just wanted to give a little bit of wisdom on the railroad crossing part of this video You mentioned that the signal lights were red. That doesn't always necessarily mean. There isn't a train coming. I am a rail fan and watch the signals all the time. With the double track there. One of those tracks is also known as a citing that they can put a train in to allow another train to pass going the opposite direction or a train behind a train to pass the train to get in front? You mentioned that the signal lights were red. That doesn't always necessarily mean. There isn't a train coming. I am a rail fan and watch the signals all the time. With the double track there. One of those tracks is also known as a citing that they can put a train in to allow another train to pass going the opposite direction or a train behind a train to pass the train to get in front? The bottom signal light on the signal. Pole is generally your citing light. Your top light red, yellow and green. Is your main line light so if you have a green overread? Generally means the train is going to pass through that signal. If you have a yellow override flashing yellow over red, that means to proceed to the next signal and stop. If you have a solid yellow over red, this means caution. Proceed with speeds no more than 15 miles an hour. There are a lot of different meanings to these lights, but red doesn't necessarily mean that there is no train coming. If it is solid red, the signal lights before these lights could be flashing yellow. Or solid yellow, which would mean that the train would have to approach this signal and then stop. Really? I love the videos. Keep up the great work. Hope planning season is going great for you.
Hi Brian. Enjoy all your videos. Hope the weather holds for you this season. Have you had the chance to go to Jackson Minnesota to the Fendt customer experience center.
But one signal is facing the other direction so you can’t see it. Around here on Norfolk Southern if you see a red signal that means a train is in the next block.
@chadshafer8095 explain why having the White name on the planter instead of Massey Ferguson would make it a better planter? That doesn't make any sense, how would painted letters make it plant better?

Nice setup bub. I haven’t dropped a seed yet. Wife ended up leaving me after her new bolt ons. I ended up getting with her sister. We’ve been on a bender. I need to get my act together #plant24
If the fitting that are leaking are flat face you might have to replace the o- ring in them if it keeps leaking. At least the planter is the right color. Lol
If you see a red signal, it just means a train is either to stop at that signal or no train is coming towards that signal. Green would be on the other side for them to continue moving
Would anyone like to try a rewrite of " We plow the fields and scatter the good seed on the land" all I have is "We min till the fields and precision meter the hybridised and coated seed into the chemically and nutritionally prepared seedbed"
No. 33,000 seeds per acre. There are 80,000 seeds in every unit and there are 50 units per pro box. 80,000 seeds times 50 equals 4 million seeds per box divided by the population per acre (30,000) equals about 121 acres you can plant per pro box.
I like the date notification. Much Appreciated Brian!
Nice to see you guys are willing to try different machines. Massey planter looks real sharp.
Great video. That Fendt sounds like a freight train coming across the field!
I have watched a lot of farmers show me strip tilling and this is the first time I have seen exactly how awesome it is. Nice job
corn farmer is the best job on the world. only busy a few days per year.
Hahahahaha
Great video as always. I think your father will be quite happy to pass on his 60 plus year's of knowledge.

Really cool to see all that dealer support out there on your first day. Good to know that real customer service still exists in certain industries.
They're doing the demo

Great Video Brian, that is one sassy Massey "planter" that is, an impressive rigg!, thanks for sharing
Nice planter, They need to leave the White name on it. Tired of everything by Massey. Gleaner will most likely be next. Maybe i am wrong.

Need a talc dispenser for the seed tender.

Hi again. Can you use a central tire inflation system on your LSW tires. Claas has them on their tractors.
Hey BJ that color of red is the color of real farm equipment.
If the fitting that are leaking are flat face you might have to replace the o- ring in them if it keeps leaking.
At least the planter is the right color. Lol
I noticed your planter doesn't have those Chinese star looking wheels, only smooth ones. Unless I missed it
When's the video coming with the new planter in the ditch?

Sure won't take long to eat up a lot of acres in short order. A few bugs seem to be normal for everyone starting out with something new.
Thoes wide tyres . How much reduction on soils compression would they be on the narrow tyres
under or over $400,000 ? looks like its working great
Did u sell ur other corn planter?
You will definitely have to get your dad in the rig to plant
Can't let him miss a year now !

Nice to see someone using something other then John Deere

When you planting. Why does the right side wing wheels have problems rotating while the planter in the ground?
Seems like they were off the ground, so all the weight was on the row units
Is dirt "mellow out" a technical term?
Yep page 61 section 5 paragraph 3 of the farmer technical handbook
Are you not using the liquid fertilizer setup on the planter?
No it’s not all hooked up and we have never used liquid
@@BriansFarmingVideos could you not run 28% and herbicide through the planter and save a sprayer pass?

Needs better closing wheels.
It's an option
Is that a pressurized meter like the White planters , Or did they change it to vacuum ?
Wing wheels dont turn just drag?
NK Boxes are 45 units
What is applying "28"?
28 is the content percentage of Nitrogen in the fertilizer.
