    Awesome Oak pipe, mate. 👍🏽
You missed a good opportunity for a nice brass band to hide the join from the steam to the bowl.
    Looks fantastic either way. 👌🏽

It turned out to be a beautiful piece. Remember your sign on the wall. No open fire. All right.

Question about grain direction. Is the end grain going left to right with the stem or up and down through the bowl?

It appears to be going through the bowl. I just wonder if the stem will break in half.

Hi Are, enjoyed watching your video on making a pipe. Well done. Like you said in the video, it would have been even nicer if you had a piece of Briar that you could have used instead of the oak. I believe you are right in thinking that the bowl needs to be tipped up on a long pipe to allow it to be level when smoking it. I'm not a smoker so I have know knowledge. Watching the video, it looked like there is no heat in your shop as I watched the water vapor come out of your mouth. I have no idea what the temperature was when you made the video but it has been pretty cold in upstate New York. Today was the first day in a while the temp hit 32F. At least it is not TX. Keep up the good work...

    Hey Are,
35 years ago i gave up smoking and put the money i brought in for cigarettes into a savings account.
15 years ago we bought a new car and this year we will buy the next one.
we let the cigarettes work for us.
    That's fun.
    Many greetings from Germany.

Hey, Willem! That's awesome to hear. Great respect to you for quitting!
And, just in case you were worried about my smoking: I have never even touched a cigarette, and smoke the pipe probably 3-5 times/year, so it's not really a problem for me.
      Thanks for watching.
