Tip: Before painting, rub olive oil into your hair, liberally. This will keep the paint from sticking to your hair (it will shampoo out easily) while at the same time giving your hair a spa-type conditioning. A light sheen of olive oil on your face, neck, ears, arms, & legs will also do wonders for your skin & allow the paint to wash off easily.
.....As a former Professional Painter...I just wrapped my hair up ( it's long) and wore a Satin Shower /Sleep Cap when working .. no paint ,no washing required. 😊😉
This also works when using Power Tools... A saw, A Wet Saw, ...you get idea......lol..

Cute, funny. Not sure how drilling holes in the cabinets and walls are renter friendly but there's also a wall painted black so i guess we don't have the same definition of renter friendly. The floor upgrade was awesome
A lot of landlords don’t care if you paint as long as you can paint it back later
Everything that is reversible is renter friendly to me. Holes can be filled up, walls repainted back to original colour.
@@idakwapinska6905 those refilled holes in the wooden cabinets will not look the same therefore not renter friendly
Black walls are no Problem. You just need some more paint coats to cover it up when you move out :)
Not so shure about the holes in the cabinetts
Sometimes landlords are ok with updates. Especially small ones like hardware additions.

I loved this! I’ve always been afraid of contact paper but Katy I think I may try it. The kitchen looked incredible especially for only $149.
Aw yay! Don’t be scared. Just remember: the thicker the paper, the easier it is.
You should be afraid of contact paper. It's so hard to manage! 😅

I love the color pallet it’s so cohesive, also omg it looks so much bigger and so bright.
It’s truly amazing
For the removable tiles, you can put posterboard down and lay the tiles on top of that. If you're worried about them shifting, only use the posterboard on the middle tiles. And then you only have glue on the outer edges of the floor when you remove the tiles.
Also, I was cracking up at parts of this video. It was so fun to watch.
I LOVE this hack. And I would definitely do it in future ones. I also heard about taping vinyl sheets down. Either way, we love brilliant deception.

That looks fantastic. Having just rebuilt a kitchen literally from the ground up (water damage, 0/10, would not recommend) it is pretty incredible what some new colors and a fresh look will do to open up a crusty old kitchen.

Yes! Just don’t do it on painted wood. I have also heard great things about Orcal vinyl but haven’t used it myself yet.
