I really appreciate how he doesn't just change the pronouns, which I generally find kind of dumb, he changes the whole perspective-- so he's singing from the perspective of the man Lana is singing about. For everyone complaining about the change in lyrics. He's changing the perspective. That is what musicians often refer to as 'call and response'. So you can imagine Lana singing (calling) to him and him confirming by responding back to her. I can't take anyone hating on this beautiful soul. This was a creative cover!
