I had the growing up experience of trying to help my aunt do the chores around the house (especially cooking) as she lives with us (she still lives with us today and still does the house chores, and I share some), but instead my PhD-brained dad got angry at her and so... yeah. Grew up distorted a bit in that I and my siblings became self-important adult in parts. Both our parents (now boomers, and we're millenials) were heavily career oriented back in the day, and they wanted us to follow the same path so they left some part of child rearings and most of the houseworks to our aunt (they never hired housemaids). Now they are retired and we siblings are somewhat useless in independence, and never got to learn to be really successful and have a family of our own. Maybe being in the spectrum play a part in our flawed life choices or the inability to truly grow up (we suspect our dad is also on the spectrum but we never dared to tell him 😂).
Edit: if we're from the US we'd be kicked out of the family home at 18 no matter how our parents wanted us to be careerists. But because we're from SE Asia, the family home is always the centre. So now yes we still don't own anything, will probably die starving or gwt bedridden early if the parents and aunt pass away in a decade or two. What saves some of us siblings' livelihood today is the presence of the family home and the parents' monthly pension. I'm ashamed to admit it but I need to get this out. Thank you for reading till this point.

He's wrong about one thing. You can save a lot if you start young and pay yourself first. You are your first bill. Just save a little bit every month, starting young. Of course making more money is great, but most people spend more money than they should and they could easily find ways to save, or save more. And if you add the power of compounding over time, by starting young, it is easy to become a millionaire. But people can't control themselves. I blame a lot of it on social media.

People like that are literally stealing the work others do. The currency is what enables it. If it weren't for that little abstract trick, the theft would be more obvious. In short, most people are too dumb to notice, free people don't have leases, rents or mortgages...and profit functions identically to taxation without representation.

You can't save your way to being rich is absolutely correct but not for the reason he says. The real reason is simply that asset price inflation outpaces your income.
The math simply doesn't work. You want to buy a house that costs $520k today. Even if you somehow manage to aggressively save $1000 per week, it'd still take you 10 years.
And by the time you saved the $520k the price of the house would've doubled, now you need $1 million. You're still as far away from having the house as when you started.
This is why using debt to buy assets that appreciate with inflation (rather than fighting against it) is the only real way to wealth.

Montessori school is where people go to succeed and learn how to start a business, public school is where people go to be brainwashed and learn how to just keep a job. A lot of successful people never completed high school. They probably succeeded because they weren’t brainwashed. Do you really think it takes 12 years to teach someone?

100% false. Youre comparing the smallest set of data of fathers to say somethinf bad about the data in general. Thats like saying because of a threat of car accidents or struck by lightning you shouldnt go outside your house. Hardly any fathers are abusive. Even less people get struck by lightning.

I was an over-the-road driver 1991-2018 and enjoyed what I did. Sunday nights was when I generally left the house if I was home on the weekend. I preferred being off during the week. New Year's Eve I was normally getting ready to leave when the clock struck midnight if I hadn't left already. So on Monday morning while most people were just getting up I was usually at where I was delivering or almost there.
Enjoy your life while you can. It's not about making money all the time. Although I really enjoyed my work I always made sure I was home for special occasions and any time my wife wanted to ride with me she could. She says the best sleep she's had in her life has been in a big truck.

This guy has what he has because there are some conditions by which the government allows people to steal from others, it facilitates it and the politicians are in on it themselves. It is coercion by way of accounting tricks, and when someone doesn't pay up, what they have already worked for is seized. The disregulation of the currency has actually allowed for circumvention of the Constitution. People paying a-holes like this are serfs. They are not truly free people.

Earning money for someone else I can understand, but if it's just for yourself... to each their own, but I think an obsession with wealth is a fairly debilitating one to have. I make enough, and that's enough
