    Funny seeing rev bob’s videos- he’s gone from being very positive to not so much. With various warnings about the derestriction causing issues, (no warranty) and reliability issues. Wish there was more videos, I’ve started doing a few myself. I use mine everyday.

      the issue with electric bikes is always the same thing the BMS goes into the battery the part to repair it is about £100 but no one wants to do it I heard from an undisclosed source Lexmoto have had over 100 cypher returned due to battery issues all because of the BMS i wish they would give me all of them I could make about 5 tesla batteries out of them

      wow what to say to that did you try contacting lexmoto directly it wont actually be the battery that is fucked it will be the bms witch is the battery management system if they wont replace it under warranty i would suggest finding an electrical engineer who can take a look as the repair may only cost £200 ware as the replacement battery will cost £1500

    interesting. i will be nice if the customer can give you a good estimate of range under real world conditions. one in winter would be good too, as that will hit the range with lower temps. customer seems to have made a wise choice.

    Hi Chris, what a great and very interesting vlog this is with plenty of food for thought.
    You said that if your on Grandad rights for example that it was illegal to ride it de-restricted but if you only have to turn the key off and then it all re-sets back to normal then how could the Police and insurance possibly prove it? Asking for a friend ; )
    From your experience how do electric bikes cope with the good old British winter?
    Iv'e heard that the Battery's don't hold their charge as well or do as many miles on each charge, is that correct please?
    I am just trying to weigh up the pro's and con's of possibly moving over to electric.
    Thanks in advance & all the best.

    • @Ridingreviews
      @Ridingreviews  Před 3 lety +3

      the police wouldn't be able to tell unless your in an accident and carnt turn the restrictor back on i am stating it isn't legal and shouldn't be done for a 16 year old and someone on grandfathers rights (for a friend ) the cold will reduce the storage capacity of the battery's when cold

Had a Chinese imported rooder electric bike but sold as battery was so small only 20ah and getting to 30mph was very slow. Especially on hills. This seems OK. My commute is 5 miles a day.
