  • Have you ever wondered if portable TVs are a thing? Maybe you have a small room, but you would still like to have a TV in there? I was thinking about this recently when I sat down at my computer. I went onto Amazon, and did a search for portable TV, not expecting to find anything. One of the results that came up was for a 14 inch Tyler portable TV. Reading through the description, I fell in love with the concept and impulsively decided to purchase it. To my delight, it arrived and it is fully accessible. In this video, I will take you on a tour of this little TV, and show you how the Text to Speech feature works. Please note that this is not a full tutorial, as I am still learning what some of the buttons do and how some of the features operate. However, I hope you will enjoy learning about this very neat TV. If you're interested in purchasing one, you can do so at the following link.

    Whenever you were talking about taking the TV out into the kitchen, and using just the battery power, I guess the stand is on wheels? Again, thank you for the video.

    I hope this TV gets easier to use the more time you spend with it. I have an old TV that is just plain not working, now that I've dragged it back out wanting it to, and I'mm wondering if it's because that TV is not the one I am eant to use. I'm thinking about getting one of these, but I'm kind of on the fence about that. Do you recommend it? I am in fact blind, and a little TV makes a lot of sense to me, especially one that actually talks to me and has audio description easily accessible.

  • @ashleighpiccinino1849

    I'm using an amazon fire tablet with voice view. So far, it seems to be working If you need to come turn on your fire TV and let it load all the way. This way, voice view is more likely to help you do your tasks, unless like way to be bored down all the way slow.

    I think you'd get better results when tuning the TV if you have to connected to an outdoor roof mounted antenna, do you know if you have access to one in your dwelling? If you have one, there should be a wall mounted antenna socket, you'd need to run a coaxial cable from that socket to the antenna socket on the TV set itself.

    What exactly is the fire stick? Thank you, And if you ever have a chance to do And if you ever have a chance to do so come into on a CZcams video with your amazon fire tablet Of course, from this current writing, the 7 is the most up to date with voice view and other accessibility features.,

    If you've done reviews on the Samsung series TVS, Which include the 8 … what my family owns … you know about both voice guide The screening software And the ability to talk to your TV. That feature New line 1. Does the title TV your currently testing have ? as well as interacting with voice guide, is done exclusively with the Samsung TV remote … not the ones for directv, or dish network

If so, have you used said key to screwdriver to find out what all the keys do, and save just pressing buttons and hope something good happened here Like this

    Well, just as usual shorts catch people, you have also caught me with this topic. I love talking asses to technology, Kiki out over it anytime I can. This might be my career path, teaching assist technology such as jaws and open book. Does the remote you're using have a haptic engine? If so, can it be turned on so that you can better locate where to play the laser of the eye on your remote ?

    The tts voice sounds very weird. Maybe they should give us a menu with better voices and an option to change the rate. Still grate to see this feature outside the big tech giants.

    Roku remote will not pair with the Tyler tvs. You will have to have 2 remotes to control volume

    This is an interesting product, I know many Android based TVs are accessible and I think a number of those models are available in Australia. I'm quite sure though, that this Tyler TV isn't available here. I do find it interesting that a TV of that size does have a battery in it, I assume it's rechargeable. Do you know how long the battery lasts? Can the TV play multimedia files from a USB stick?

    • @billgreen1861
      @billgreen1861 Před 11 měsíci

      The battery has a three hour duration ( it's great if you have a power down) and yes it has a usb port.

    I do wish the remote functions wern't so glitchy. it makes me almost turn away from it, although it's accessible enough to play xbox games via HDMI.

      @gallagher123123  Před rokem

      I think part of the issue I was having in the video was where I was positioned. When actually using the TV, the remote really is not that bad. I don’t love it, but overall it does work.

  • @ashleighpiccinino1849

    This is all well I'm good, learning by doing, but it might be good to also read the manual. This is whatever require my students to do, walking step by step through the instructions. If they did not, and assignment was due for that activity, they would get counted off for not following the instructions in the manual, but doing whatever they felt like.

  • @ashleighpiccinino1849

    Instead of streaming your eyes come and using your magnifier, could you have not set up the TV all the way with your screen reader? This is what I would encourage my students to do, even though I'm not yet a teacher.

  • @ashleighpiccinino1849

    This literally is my last comment. I've enjoyed this video with you, and all of your videos. Have you ever thought about being a narrator, for the national library service for the blind in print disabled, or for audible? That's referring to the day, but I want to see how this sleep button down it looks good could you automatically skip to quote sleep off. Quote Too bad you don't have 2 of those Tyler Of course, 14" TVS. However, if you did, you could perform the following functions. I'm not the best with this kind of concept, is I'm not an installer for direct TV or dish network … satellite TV providers. Do you have a lot of trees near your location, possibly 1 outside the window you have your antenna on which might block the signal? Try moving around tenah come on maybe hi remember I don't know but maybe I said it can get a better signal? I've never seen a TV antenna, so I'm only going on what I know from a radio antenna. Usually, they might be telescopic coma so try gently pulling on the top of the antenna if it is telescopic, moving it all the way up. Of course, if you use a telescope you'll know this concept as it sections lies in the next. The thing about the telescope was for a telescopic cane. These can be used for orientation and, But each section slides easily into the next section, going downward, when the can is fully closed.

      maybe don’t whisper into your microphone and your dictation will work better

  • @ashleighpiccinino1849

    You can email me at the address listed, I'd like to know all of it more about your story. Of course, I've commented many times on previous videos about this. How did you lose your sight come over your born with low vision? How do you create videos on CZcams if you If you are completely blind come in using voice over on the iPhone This also applies to creating what CZcams now calls quote shorts, quote which are literally 5-30 second video clips. When viewing shorts on an iPhone, this should be abandoned. I think these are bad idea, and as more than just people who are blind use them.

  • @ashleighpiccinino1849

    1 thing I like to point out here, As of your presentation of this video. I'm not trying to get on to you, and if you take this personally, I'm sorry. However, I agree that constructive criticism is better than just plain quizzes. Words like quoteRight there come Right there come on Or Over there come on let's goAlexa Please excuse dictation. However, the words in quotes are not very useful to those of us who cannot see. I'm surprised you don't know this, even though you have reserved vision. I think it's time, my dear Gallagher, for you to visit the article in the real monitor left for in national federation of the blind right praying that is entitled over there you This article literally describes a condition at a store, where someone is trying to point out where an item can be located. Quote oh it's over there , quote what's the response of the clerk. The She had to have quote over there, quote described in terms of what aisle it was in comment and on what shelf. Please try to remember that, and if possible, please find the article … I'm not sure what it is you by now of the article, I mean the author come up didn't know where quote o., it was several years back. After reading me article come on please try to add some of the commentary there into your own video there come up well was. This author was blind come out so she had to have a business

  • @ashleighpiccinino1849

    The demo is working fine , so it's good to have life, extemporaneous talk from you and the TV during this review. Don't be such a defeated person here, as you doing great? Your voice sounds good, and the TTS sounds good too it was this milotic whenever it was saying the channel name for7:00 However come up for people who are a little bit slow, but still have disabilities, can you adjust to the text to speech speaking rate, so that the channels are spoken slower … and everything else is too. What about the speech, I really don't care for that much. So can that be a justice? I would have thought you would have gone into the exorcism 1st come on show me that 1st. Don't worry about it come on come on it's gonna beDon't worry about it come on come on it's gonna be

  • @ashleighpiccinino1849

    Here are the questions that I was going to put in the last comment. This will be my last comment on this video, as voice view is also messing up with dictation. It just must be an AT thing, and it's very unacceptable. Here are the questions.
    1. Does the TV your current testing have the features listed ?2 if the remote has a microphone, please use the microphone and Talk to a TV gamma telling it where you would like to go. Of course, and this Talk to a TV gamma telling it where you would like to go. Of course, in this case, you wanted to view the channel with quote buzzer come on quote correct? Tell your TV to tune to the channel. I'm not sure how The speech of work, The speech of work, what you have to say. Was you figured out … doing it is live as you can on the video, Please use the keypad to tune to another channel you wish to go to your that way, we can figure out which works better, speaking to you TV, or Tunein it by hand with the remote keypad., you wanted to view the channel with quote buzzer come on quote correct? Tell your TV

    1 last thing about the shorts. The reason why I'm replying so much to videos, Gallagher 123123, is because I'm studying special education right now in college. I'm almost done with my masters °, getting in that program, so that's why. All the buttons on the remote tactile different from 1 another question
