    The piece that the heel rest on is it angled

      Nope. I just beveled all the sides so I wouldn't whack my knuckles on any sharp corners. The strip on the bottom is a different angle from the individual block because it is mounted to the front and they are mounted on the angled part

    What is the angle of the surface that the planes rest on?

      It's about 17 degrees from the front edge. Not for any reason, the materials and space dictated most of the dimensions. It was built from cut offs and extra pieces from completed projects.
