For now, let's hear the backstory. How did two childhood friends now business partners get creative to get by during the pandemic?
Meet Ivan Reyes and Darlon Castor who decided to refurbish the lower part of the house-which used to be a sari-sari store-and turned it into a haven for coffee-lovers. It's Ivan Reyes who grew up and still lives in this ancestral house with his family. In a previous interview he told ANCX, "May pamahiin kasi ang mga purong Caviteño, mga Chavacano, na bawal galawin ang bahay. Pwede i-restore pero hindi para palitan". And without some budget for restoration, the structure remains as it is.
So what's their pandemic struggle that led them to pivot during these trying times? What were the skills they were able to leverage?
