- The first seasonal event for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is on its way! Between April 1 and April 12, residents of the island can participate in Bunny Day to find eggs hidden by bunny visitor Zipper and craft special items with them. Another free update to the game hits in late April, which adds the Earth Day event.
Please note, while the presentation mentions a "Ver.1.1.0 Update" for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you will need to connect to the internet and download the latest update data on April 1st to enjoy the Bunny Day event.

I would honestly really appreciate the 2nd update to give markers for players in online play, to be able to craft multiple items, and for a workbench in your house to pull items directly out of your storage. Just some things that’d really improve the game.

This game needs individual island's per save file! Families shouldn't have to purchase more than one console in order to FULLY experience this one game.

Considering how adorable this game is, it seems odd that for Zipper, they decided to go with skin-crawlingly terrifying.

He really is. A few of the regular villagers too. It's like they tried to make him cute but swerved too far into the uncanny valley
I feel like that's intentional and he's actually wearing a suit. If you look on the back there is even a zipper.

THANK GOD my switch is coming next Sunday. I’ll still have 5 days to participate in the event as I really want the furniture.
I'm all for fun seasonal events in AC, but I do hope we won't be taking a cue from Pocket Camp and have one going almost all the time. It adds quite a bit of stress to collect things, and AC shouldn't be about that.
Word of advice, don't compare Pocket Camp to a main console entry. They're totally different games lol.

Making the events longer means there is less stress to collect everything in a shorter time period.
Also, these items are probably coming back next year
They definitely took a cue from Pocket Camp with the events in a sense you have to play consistently to keep getting the timed/exclusive DIY’s & crafting items. Crafting items are a slight bit more plentiful than PC phone game. I often find myself needing more of the DIY recipes than materials... to appease the sadomasochistic rabbit for whatever (probably dumb) final prize the rabbit is withholding for crafting every recipe.
It’s certainly not as leisurely as, let’s say, the GameCube version of Animal Crossing “holidays”.
But boy is it one great Animal Crossing game nonetheless!

@@zariarogers2846 Thats what updates are. They're set in the code ahead of time so they can be released to everyone's game once the developers feel it's ready. New stuff could be added to the code or taken out with an update released
@@HarvestHollows You have to have your time synced online to have the holiday events. Once Nintendo no longer supports the game, what is it going to sync to? I assume its reaching out for a server check on Nintendo's side of things.
Will time traveling affect you from seeing this event? Could I put the time back to normal before this event happens?
yes you can put it back and it'll act like it's a new day!
pretty sure it will work fine but u have to sync ur system to the internet date and time
You can put it back but time traveling back by a large margin has monetary consequences
If u time travel to april 1 there will be no bunny day the bunny day will be when its actually april
You need your clock set to sync with online the day it starts for it to work but you should be fine as lone as you do that.

Can I transfer my save file yet? Started on my old switch over the switch lite so I can play on tv. But gf wants to play and 2nd player doesn't get to play the story.
You can't move it now. They're working on it for later this year. I'm annoyed that they did this.

@@paendabear21 They didn't mention they couldn't even put bells towards upgrading the town. That's something so simple to implement. They're basically empty shells of accounts, don't even unlock all the DIY recipes. Would just make more sense if the islands were tied to the account since no one wants to play on an island they can't do anything to. Eliminates the point of sharing the island. I don't care how much space it takes up on my memory card
