Film jest dokumentalnym zapisem strajku w Stoczni Gdańskiej w sierpniu 1980 roku. Ukazuje zarówno przywódców strajku jak i zwykłych robotników a także przebieg negocjacji ze stroną rządową.
Informacje o niektórych osobach przedstawionych w filmie:
Lech Wałęsa - legenda, z której nic nie zostało, TW „Bolek", archetypiczny prostak, wierzy, że jest potomkiem rzymskiego cesarza Walensa, zwolennik PO, kłamczuch, Dyzma. Wbrew temu co się czasami twierdzi, nie został przywieziony do stoczni motorówką SB, lecz kutrem strugowodnym Wojsk Ochrony Pogranicza. Kiedy przedwcześnie zakończył strajk, Anna Walentynowicz wzywała robotników do powrotu i dalszej walki.
Tadeusz Mazowiecki - pierwszy prokomunistyczny premier ubekistanu, autor „grubej kreski" czyli uniewinnienia czerwonych zbrodniarzy, a wcześniej pismak szkalujący bpa Kaczmarka; pięknie kłaniał się Jaruzelskiemu.
Broisław Geremek - mason, kiedy zobaczył, że robotnicy nie oddadzą władzy „autorytetom", zasugerował Cioskowi skończenie z Solidarnością; były minister spraw zagranicznych.
Mazowiecki i Geremek przylycieli do Gdańska rządowym samolotem. Przekonywali strajkujących żeby odstąpili od postulatu powołania niezależnych związków zawodowych. Ślicznie, prawda?
Anna Walentynowicz - prawdziwa bohaterka Sierpnia i patriotka, zwolnienie jej z pracy stało się przyczyną strajku w Stoczni Gdańskiej. Po jej śmierci w katastrofie smoleńskiej, salon uznał, że należy kimś wypełnić pustkę jaką pozostawiła po sobie. W tym celu, do odegrania roli kobiecej ikony Solidarności, wybrano Henrykę Krzywonos (kawiorową opozycjonistkę i przyjaciółkę Jolanty Kwaśniewskiej, produkt bohateropodobny). Biorąc pod uwagę jej agresywność i sympatie polityczne, spokojnie można ją określić mianem Palikota w spódnicy. Na jubileuszowym zjeździe Solidarności w 2010 roku, Krzywonos, dając popis chamstwa, wyszła z niebytu i przypomniała o swoim istnieniu. Salonowe media rozpoczęły wówczas szeroko zakrojoną akcję pompowania nowej bohaterki. Bogdan Lis, późniejszy uwol, w 2007 roku startował z komitetu Lewica i Demokraci a więc wspólnie z ludźmi, którzy w 1980 byli po drugiej stronie barykady.
Jerzy Borowczak -- przeszedł podobną drogę jak Lis -- kiedyś walczył w słusznej sprawie, dziś trzeba z nim walczyć. W wyborach prezydenckich w 2010 roku poparł gajowego Komoruskiego.
Andrzej Gwiazda -- nie poszedł na kompromis z czerwonym i zachował twarz, krytyk zmowy okrągłostołowej, publicysta Gazety Polskiej.
Na chwilę pojawiają się też w filmie Krzysztof Wyszkowski (również piszący do GP; wygrał proces jaki Wałęsa wytoczył mu za nazwanie go „Bolkiem") i odprawiający mszę ks. Henryk Jankowski.
Jednym z ekspertów doradzających stoczniowcom był, nieobecny w filmie, Waldemar Kuczyński, po latach minister przekształceń własnościowych w rządzie Mazowieckiego; obłąkańczo i komicznie antypisowski.
W opracowywaniu postulatów strajkowych brał udział Bogdan Borusewicz, obecnie związany z niemiecko-sowiecką mafią o nazwie PO.
Przez ostatnie 30 lat zmieniło się w Polsce wiele, ale jednocześnie - stanowczo za mało. Sytuacja jest niezwykle podobna do tej z roku 1980: zdecydowana większość mediów jest na usługach rządzących, opozycja jest szykanowana, podobnie jak niepokorne media (np. wspomniana Gazeta Polska), jesteśmy cięgle zależni od Rosji (a także od Niemiec), sytuacja gospodarcza, wbrew propagandzie sukcesu, jest w opłakanym stanie, zadłużenie Polski bardzo szybko wzrasta, gen. Jaruzelski jest chołubiony, prawie cała władza spoczywa w ręku jednego ugrupowania -- wtedy PZPR, teraz PO. Prawie, bo jak wiadomo jest jeszcze koalicjant. PSL, czyli czerwony ZSL po przepoczwarzeniu (archaiczna partia klasowa), zapisał się wyjątkowo parszywie w najnowszej historii Polski: udział w obaleniu rządu Jana Olszewskiego (lewy czerwcowy vel nocna zmiana), dwukrotne umożliwienie postkomunistom powrotu do władzy poprzez zawarcie z nimi koalicji, współodpowiedzialność za działania fatalnego rządu Herr Thuska.
Najbardziej bolesne jest to, że pokazani w filmie robotnicy -- prawdziwi bohaterowie tamtych dni, zostali zdradzeni, oszukani i podeptani. Zamiast wolnej Polski dostali PRL-bis, a czerwoni (do spółki z różowymi), po przegrupowaniu i przefarbowaniu, znowu znaleźli się na wierzchu -- bo byli silniejsi i cwansi. Ale gramy dalej, jeszcze nie powiedzieliśmy ostatniego słowa.

Po tym wszystkim robił to dalej i stracił rodzinę i umarł jako bezdomny w Krakowie,to jest determinacja proszę pana,czekał na Wałęsę razem ze mną,ale ten nas zignorował pomimo obietnicy przyjazdu do Jastrzębia Zdroju. Jak ma pan pytania proszę pytać bo wiele przez to przeszedłem.
