    John and Alice Coltrane were two musicians who explored the connection between music and spirituality in jazz. John Coltrane’s album “A Love Supreme,” one of the great musical achievements in American history, is one such exploration. But we hear less about Alice Coltrane. So we’re going to see a clip from her harp solo at the Jazz Jamboree in 1987, and then we’ll talk on the other side.
    Talk about the immense musical contributions of Alice Coltrane and the challenges that Black women faced as they navigated racism and sexism in the industry.
