The Audi A3 has been launched in India at a price of between Rs. 22.95 - 32.66 lakhs (ex-Delhi).
What you'll like:

What you won't:
• Compact size. Length is comparable to the VW Vento!
• Uncomfortable rear seat. Headroom (especially) & legroom are in short supply
• Long-term reliability concerns over the DSG automatic
• Electric power steering lacks the feel & feedback you'd expect in a driver's car
• Premium plus variants are priced dangerously close to the A4, 3-Series & C-Class
• The larger Jetta & Octavia are cheaper. A3 has a lot in common with the Skoda

Very elegant looking and solid car. Guys, Imagine that base model of this Audi A3 in Europe comes with 1.0 TFSI which is the same engine and in exact same tune as we get in VW 2.0 cars like Slavia,Taigun,Virtus and Kushaq.
That is another reason why these VW 2.0 cars are just not comparable and in completely different league with respect to the competition like Creta-Seltos-Verna-City etc.
+ Octavia vrs hybrid engine ( 245 bhp ) comes in virtus gt and other mqb ao in ( non hybrid 150 bhp ) vag is in different league compared to Indian and Korean cars in same segment
A3 is one of the cutest and subtle looking sedan and and size is too perfect for city use and i personally like the A3 which was sold in European market the hatchback one perfect upgrade for a person like me who have 90 percent use in city compact size car with fun to drive factors
I have an 2016 Audi A3, run 55000 Kms, and I am so happy with my car that I am using it for almost 8 years, although I can buy a Mercedes E Class now. I will buy a new car soon. May be after another year. There has been no issue with the car till now, except all 4 tyres and battery change. And yes, it's a comfortable and fun to drive car. Those who say it's a piece of garbage, probably never had a chance to drive one. So ignore them.
Can i know what is the maintainance cost of A3?
@KattarHindu_GT I now get it serviced at an independent garage. It costs about 20k to 25k for regular service. I stopped sending it to Audi Worshop ( Audi Kolkata) since last 2 years as they used to do scam in the bills.

The price is spot on but for a middle class customer its very risky proposition. Its better to invest in Toyota for lateral upgrades.For used car buyer spare part list along with their prices must be at check list along with annual insurance and maintainance costs.For a wealthy buyer this car is a great buy.2.0Tdi's reliability are world class and being a bigger engine there are less dsg failures.
Moreover except BMW no other OEM offers over the counter spare part sales .So its very hard to find a genuine buyer for this beauty.

Lately, i have seen a lot of used Audi’s in the market, i would really want to know if buying a 10 to 12 year old Audi A6 would be a good decision or not.
The offers on the line are too tempting by the way..
I would say not to go with used audis that too 10 or 12 years olds. Older audis generally tend to give lot of electrical issues. Maybe old BMW's could be reliable but I am not sure though.
I personally would stay away for Diesel because of the rules

Audi A3 is bought by the people who don't even have the budget to buy a Toyota Fortuner or even a Skoda Superb for that matter. I'd say people who want the badge and nothing else. Absolutely impractical and worthless piece of garbage one can buy with their money. Halogen Headlights on an Audi even in 2015? Idiotic.

Mainly because Those who can afford to buy ke liye Status ke khilaf hai to buy Used Car. Aur
Middle Class ke liye haathi palna hai investing ₹10 lacs. Got to keep aside another ₹10 for Expensive Spares Replacement, high labour cost for replacements & Service Expenses. So it very Risky option to go in for such big brands Audi, Merc & BMW.
Middle class banda le kar ghumega toh log bolenge Chori ki Gaadi hogi OR kisika kar diya hoga OR do number ka kaam karta hoga OR Yeh car lekar Payment lene jayega toh log samaj lenge humse jyada profit kamakar gaadi le aaya hoga? OR Payment nahi denge Aapko kya jaroorat hai aap pelse bahot Humse kama chuke ho.

But all said & done its a very good Car with all German Engineering for that price. Against our local Sedans. Risk donno me same hai. Ek me global Quality, Refinements, Fun to drive with Driving dynamics milega without Warranty.
Aur local me warranty milega with compromise on all the above mentioned aspects.
