I won't lie Brida wasn't my favourite character, and I started to really dislike her towards the end, but the flashbacks I was not expecting, they definitely brought a tear to my eyes. From where it began to where it ends. Who would've thought...
I’m sure we were meant to dislike her. They did a good job with that. I liked how unlikeable she was.
I was the same, she wasn’t likeable, I did feel for her when she lost the baby, and I think when it came to it her loyalties were deep, but i still disliked her lol
She's an asshole and a psychopath but we love her because Uhtred does 😅
She was meant to be hated by the audience. That's how you know the actress and writers did an excellent job of desensitizing us to all of Brida's trauma.
Two great performers show their art
2:13 did he just parry her sword with his hand 😂
Brida got so consumed by her hatred of Christians that she couldnt understand Uthred at the end, all he ever wanted was his castle "kingdom" back. All that Brida wanted was to have a child.
I know many find this scene moving, but all I felt was relief when Stiorra killed Brida. Both of them suffer similar trauma, and though Uhtred is angry and reckless, he never becomes as cruel or ruthless as Brida. She is manipulative, spiteful and, by this point, consumed with hatred and completely unredeemable.
Aside from that, I am glad Stiorra was the one to kill her. She deserved vengeance, especially since Brida’s actions triggered the events that led to Stiorra losing everything. Also though Uhtred would have carried the guilt for all his life, and it shows a moment of growth for him as he is influenced cto forgive by Young Uhtred (who has the greatest Christian heart of all).
I thought I hated brida with all my rage but when It jumped to the flashback of old Ragnar and you realized this was their home together holy shit that tested me😢
I still hated Brida and was unmoved by the flashback. The castration did that to me.
icl I genuinely was in tears watching this
Of happiness?
@@Ares99999 ummm it’s been a year i don’t fully remember my feelings but i was more sad than happy i think

Just a powerful scene. Love this show.
I miss this. Great series xxx ❤❤❤
It was for the best. Because if she had lived there would have been so many people who would have hunted her down for what she did. She would have spent her life hiding from the world
I loved brida, I hated brida then I missed brida. This scene was a beautiful end to a story as important to the show as Alfred's dream.
First love never dies
everything dies.
Sure it does.
@@Ares99999 no it remains the one we judge all others by good or ill.
I cry every time I see this. I wanted them to stay together, and I think they would have, if not for his daughter.
I was not mad at Stiorra but hurt for her. She killed Brida after she caused so much hurt even if it was because she was hurting. I think if it wasn't the end of the series, fans would have forgiven Stiorra.
Or more likely, applauded her.
@Ares99999 I applauded her the first time around, I didn't like the fan base desire to have a redemption arc for Brida. She died with more comfort than she gave others
Uhtred and breda should always have been one ...but the book fates changed too much
Brida vs uhtred into the last kingdom season 5
Best Szene ❤
Uhtred
I was disappointed by this scene on the book but definitely the series made it a worse one
Probably the worse character in the show
I hated this scene and i hated stiorra i for killing brida
Difficult to hate Stiorra when we saw what brida did before 😭😭 but this scene 🥴😵😭😭
@@Dvorrah yeh i hate brida for what she did but she had a chance to go back and stiorra took it away
I was the opposite.
"FFS Uhtred you have to kill her" 😡
*Enter Stiorra*
HOOORAY!!! 😃
That being said Emily Cox played a great part. She was one of my favourite characters in Season 1 but started to change for the worse & from Season 4 onwards I started to really dislike her character. Good actress though.
