Nah I think the best part was is after he says that he slaps him and clearly makes him lower than anyone in the room. A meal worm could've walked across the table and been more respected in that moment.
@@tyrionstrongjaw7729 Yeah well. I dont think punishing anybody in general is a nice thing to do to anybody. But sometimes has to be done. Thats why the thought of Respect is more epic than the actual act of punishment.
I like how they gave Sigtryggr Ivar's iconic blue eyes, his brains & his strong will.
Great - grandpa Ivar would definitely be proud of him.

@@jeannieestave5923 Well the last kingdom ivar is not the same as Vikings ivar so we don't know if he was soft spoken or not.
Regaeding Ivar the boneless(Lothbroksson in the books),he is also a cruel character.
In the first 2 books,he is also present at alsmost every battle during uhtred youth and he is described as very aggresive and impulsive and cunning,and also he is very different from “Vikings” ivarr.He is already a full grown man battlescared and feared by others,even the jarls and earls

Sigtryggr was both mirror and kin to Uhtred. That's what made him truly compelling. On the whim of happenstance they could've defeated anyone or laid waste to everything. Uhtred and Sigtryggr were truly the most interesting combo in the series. It continues on of course and the story isn't lessened by it, but you can't help but imagine what could've been. And I think that's the essence of Sigtryggr. He saw worthy people and what could be. For good or bad he wasnt infallible, but he showed the good (and bad) of ambition and honor. And he carried a goal that wasn't necessarily bloodshed, but when confronted with other people lead to it.

I salute this actor and I love this character...and the scene that bothered me the most is when he surrenders and loses the battle against King Edward, season five, episode six, when he kneels and roars like a lion because of the loss.
Great! You chose all of his best lines. They show how wise and good hearted he is. I didn't like how the writers treated him in season 5. He deserved better.
I absolutely loved Sigtryggr's character and detested what the show did to him. Such an honorable and forthright young man & so sweet watching him and Stiorra get to know each other and fall in love ❤
It saddens me when his brother betrays him in front of Breda and fights the soldiers alone in the castle... and when he surrenders in front of King Edward and kneels while roaring.💔
He was by far the best or second best leader and tactician. He was calm, intelligent; his intentions were for the self and his people. He did not allow anger to lead those intentions. To see and hear him yell seemed out of character. His strength was his bearing and composure. Awesome! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Yesss. Sygtryggr is my favorite. He even took Utreds top place in my eyes in season 4
I never thought about the fact that scandinavian men could be attractive af then sigtryggr came. Why must Iceland be so small, please populate more for world peace.
He is not tall and does not look like a fighter. But with his performance he has made it believable that everyone follows him. In his interview in " the Screen chronicles " on yt, he explained why . Smart actor, like everyone on TLK. I also hope Netflix and carnival make many prequels, there is so much left to tell.

Absolutely my favourite character in the last Kingdom and would have been such a brilliant double Act with Uhtred, but I was so disappointed with the way he was treated in series 5 I didn't bother to watch Seven Kings must die. We really needed a spin-off series about Sigtrigr and Stiorra. Thanks for posting this, basically all his lines in series 4! Just as good as I remember him. Wonder what he is doing now?
And a shame they didn't follow the books. Another readon why the film was a mess. He should've been in 7 Kings, not executed by Utred.
Also, He was a real historical character, married to Athelstan's twin sister!
He is more muture then s1,s2 uthred . His biggest quality is he can calm himself in any situation and never act in anger

I really liked him. Wish they would have kept him.
From what I read his ending doesn't correspond to reality, it's a pity, we could have seen more. However, Sigtryggr's ending brought us something, this character said that his ancestors fell for anger and revenge, something that he always tried to be as thoughtful as he could, but in the end he gave in to his anger and fell.
