I wasn't an 80s kid, but rather a 2010s kid and I personally think Zelda 1 is one of the most inspiring games that I have ever played especially taking into account how open the game is in a time in which arcade games were the standard. There are many ways in which I think this game excels over BotW even, its modern-day counterpart, as although both are open, I feel as if Zelda 1 has more structure and better rewards you for its exploration. I hope that one day another game like Zelda 1 can come out and truly build upon its foundations!

25:30 When I first opened the manual as a kid and saw that clay model of the overworld, I knew it was going to be epic. I always wanted to recreate that wonder from the instrucrion book like a cofee table sized diorama

Great video! Congrats. It hit my feed and I subscribed, you will now skyrocket to thousands of views! The "Al-Gore-Rhythm" takes time but just change the thumbnail to the girl who played the game counselor and youll hit 100k. Thats sad but true. Thats how the internet works unfortunately. It may be worth a try, because once people watch the video they will appreciate all the work you put in and sub. Ive watched probably every Zelda video on the internet over the last 25 years and I learned a few things on this one, including how the FDS worked.
