Hometown Eats: Texas Tavern

It's a rite of passage for anyone who lives in Roanoke, Virginia - a double meat cheesy, hot with, or bowl with - The Texas Tavern has been slingin' food & jokes, 10 stools at a time, since 1930!
I don't know for a fact, but the TT has to be one of the oldest fast-food joints in America. What we do know it's Food Network's Best Diner in Virginia & a must have for anyone who calls Roanoke home or just passing through!

Hell yeah! I ate at the "T" in Lynchburg at least 2-3 times a week in my college days! I was craving some chili a few years back and drove a 14 hr round trip to buy a gallon of it. If I had to have a last meal it's gonna be from the T-room! Easily my favorite restaurant in the world. Not even kidding.
