Of all the times (on TV) I have seen the Golden Gate Bridge, that was real. The little towns along the way seem to date waaay back. How in the world would they have gotten all that lumber and talented carpenters to those remote locations back then?! Thank you Robert. Your talent lies in wanting to record just as we would. Hey, next time you are near some cows like you were at that casino, pull out your guitar and do your song for them. It's interesting and hilarious how they come all together to you to enjoy the show! Really! 🤣🐮🐮🐮🐮🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄
We did a trip for my Mom with the goal of seeing the ocean as she hadn't before. I got great memories and video of her and her walker heading out to the waves, and her excitement when the waves reached her toes. It was at the "Goonies" beach (Cannon Beach) in OR. BUT- we both were surprised when the redwoods became our favorite part of the trip! She passed away unexpectedly about a month later. The coast will always hold some great memories!
Yes... Goonies Beach, loved it. Thant's coming after the Redwoods
#38 Yup! I was there, back in 1969, when gas in California was 39 cents a gallon. A similar coast is route 132 in Quebec, Canada along the Gaspe, Penn. Just a beautiful ride. Thanks for taking me along.
You are now on the longest and slowest road in America. And the closer to shoreline the colder it gets.
I can imagine you as a late century explorer in a galleon ship stopping at every scenic bay on the same route.
Lived here in Northern California my whole life, you hit a lot of the highlights but there is so much more. Your next trip you'll have to stay in some of the areas to explore them. This is why we fight so hard for environmental issues in our state.
I can understand your point, you live in an awesome area. I saw the Redwoods for the the first time in person in Oct 2017 and the only place I would say that rivals that area is the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park in N. Lower Michigan where I'm from
I just have to say that was some funny "cattle talking" in the beginning....and wow! The drone footage captured at the end!! Skimming across the water like that, BRAVO!!!!! Super cool!!!
Thank you! I'm going to lose that drone one of these days if I keep that up.
Born and raised Cali girl here. Love my state.
No matter how many times I drive the California coast I still can not get enough of it .
Robert,it's amazing that you can't park for the nite along the coast, but you can pitch a tent in downtown San Francisco and stay as long as you would like.I lived in Petaluma for 25years moved to Chattanooga Tennessee with my job.Miss California for it's beauty.
Love following your adventures.
Gary
Love that coast... beautiful. Was there a couple of years ago on the big sur.... but travelled from the uk to Miami, staying on south beach... so lovely, but you didnt warn me about ocean drive at night 😂😂
I did this drive back in 1980 - from Portland, Oregon to San Francisco ... then took Interstate 5 to Los Angeles. Most memorable trip EVER !!!!
Thank you for taking us with you along this amazing journey Robert
I spent my twenties in the eighties as a seasonal firefighter in Mendocino county , Leggett was my primary station . I grew up loving the coast and the area in general was so beautiful . I'll always call it home . Thanks for taking me along . I look forward to the rest of the trip .
Really enjoying to ride along with you in your RV!! Thanks, brings back memory when we drove from Oregon down to LA along this beautiful road !!
You have a great aptitude for this kind of thing.
Your travels and fun commentary.
I’m addicted to watching your vids ..so therapeutic.
Great video of NoCal's breathtaking seascape views along PCH. Thanks, Robert.
Happy Sunday aka Traveling Robert Day!!!!
I loved this! Brings me back to a childhood family road trip. Thank u for the fun flashbacks 👍😍
Beautiful, beautiful views of Pacific Coast... 😍😍😍 I never get tired of it!
Picture quality is perfect and you captured it so well! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you, Robert!!!! 😃
Such a beautiful ocean views! My favorite!
Gooood morning, once again I start my Sunday with coffee & traveling Robert video! Again it's a wonderful video, thanks for sharing! 🙋♂️
That was such a quick video. Time just flew by. Yes it is a wonderful drive up the coast. I have only made it to S.F. So this was so very nice to see.
Stunning scenery! I wanted to thank you for doing the map portions of your trips lately. It really helps as another visual aid. I've been to Oregon coast but neither California nor Washington coast so thanks for filling me in!
I have lived in CA for almost 50 years and Mendocino/Fort Bragg are two of my very most favourite spots in the entire state.
Love your channel Robert! Really enjoying binge watching your travels while we are having our freedom of movements restricted somewhat. Hope you are having a great summer!
awesome, as always! wanted to say thank you for the tip on the austin inner-city rv park!! we were very happy there. happy trails...
Thank you Robert for allowing me to relive my own trip down PCH, great video!
The phenomenally beautiful shots of the coast near the end was a nice pay off for the earlier fog obscured and 'road ribbon' footage. 🙂👍
Hello Robert, I really enjoyed the beautiful coastline scenery of northern California. I'm anxiously awaiting the next video series featuring the majestic redwood forests and the avenue of Giants. Great job Robert!
Your vids make me so happy...the school house from the Birds..good movie..that up close pic of the GGB was great ..thanks Robert😊
love the drone shot.
Gooooood morning Robert! Happy Sunday. Thank you for another new video from your epic adventure out in the West. Remember that we keep you and your family in our prayers. Have a great day. Fly pelican, fly! 🌴👍😎
Thanks for having us on the road with you. It was such a beautiful drive. The more we see your video, the more places we want to go see. I love the fact you take side roads with less vehicular volumes just to enjoy the scenery drive. The more places we see on the road, more places has been adding to our list. See you on the next adventure! Free in my RV! 🤟🏻😊🤟🏻 thanks so much for having us along with you. Safe travels.
Great vid Robert Great editing, good musical accompaniment, & advancing the plot!
I, for one appreciate all your hard work, to show us all these informative & entertaining videos!
Thank You!
Beautiful. You have a great job!!! We want to see you cook every meal, everything. You make it so much fun.
Thanks do much I've been on these same roads so many times, so good to visit it again! Thank You!
Welcome to my back yard, lol. Great pictures. You will get the fog everyday this time of year. Thanks for sharing.
I've lived in northern California my entire life. Sometimes it's good to be reminded how lucky I am. I was also in national guard aviation and was able to see it by air. There used to be a small airfield at the base of the Golden gate we could land at! If you come back through that area someday, the hike out to tomales point in the pt Reyes area is bucket list worthy, and there is a campground in olema which will accommodate any size rig.
Taking notes 📝!
It's amazing the discipline you have to do what you do by yourself ..
amongst all the other talents you possess. I admire you for that...Thank you. Dale lo!
That had to be one oh the Mose beautiful drives ever! 🤩🚐🗺 You give the best details along the way! Enjoyed.
The whole Pacific Coast is beautiful. Ive been waiting for him to release these videos.
Love these entertaining videos. If I'm tired I close my eyes to one and the music and beautiful voice lull me to sleep! Thanks!
What a wonderful adventure! I thoroughly enjoyed traveling the Pacific Coast with you. Vaya con Dios!
Awesome video Robert! Thanks for sharing!👍
Robert that coastline looked awesome! I can’t wait to visit California, Oregon and Washington. I’m still exploring Utah and Arizona. This upcoming week I will be checking out Valley Of The Gods and Monument Valley and the following week I will finally be visiting California since I moved to Vegas from Orlando Florida. Thanks to you buddy for showing us the perfect spot to visit. 👍
"The coldest winter I ever saw was the summer I spent in San Francisco." -possibly attributed to Mark Twain
@Rob Basque Yeah, probably not. Hence the "possibly" qualification. But the quote, regardless of the source, was appropriate for the video. Which is why I posted it.
Unusual Mediterranean weather due to Frisco's geography.
I remember hearing that from "Doc" in the Clint Eastwood movie "Alcatraz"
The Northern Coast of CA is one of the best kept travel secrets. Most people head to Big Sur, but this area is scenically comparable and has a fraction of the tourists and expense of Big Sur. Thank you for posting, your videos are addicting!
Clever you! Always planning your next trip to the California coast. I've only done north of SF.
Robert, this episode brought me memories from 1979, when I first came to live in the US. I did that same drive in a “fat van”. The fog was really bad at times and I was always afraid that those crazy people where going to pile up behind me. It’s a beautiful coast indeed.
Excellent video!!!!You have made a hard work to show the beautiful coastline scenery of Pacific Coast in California. Congrats...>>>
Robert, this brings back child memories, Thank You
As you said, we see us. Can´t wait for the next part. The views were spectacular this time. Great Video, great actor ;)
Hello Robert, thank you so much for showing This Australian all around your beautiful country,l enjoy every video you make, and all your drone flying,l would love one day to do some touring of your fantastic country Robert, I'd say so many Australians would be watching your great videos to, Stay Safe and Enjoy your wonderful Journey, Debra from Australia 😊👍🍀💙
Another Sunday evning with Roberts travel videos. Dreaming away from 2c rain and windy Sweden.
Thank you for enabling us to travel the country while being stuck at home in quarantine. I feel free again!
The fog around the bridge was actually pretty cool.
Loved the insert of the Hitchcock movie. ❤
We loved our trip to San Francisco..crossed off my bucket list of getting to ride the famous cable car trolley . We loved our drive on beach highway 101. stayed at neatest light house motel on the ocean of course I caught the flu and was in the bed the entire time could not even get out of bed to enjoy. Boo Who... Want to go back their for sure.. Enjoying your video so much. Thanks!!!
This is the trip I want to take as soon as I get my coach. Thanks for the great video, and I agree, I'd stop every 5 minutes too!
Love you’re videos and vibes makes me want travel like this one day. Thank you.
Beautiful video of the CA coastline. Thanks Robert!
And the cow said I don't know I'm new around here.Lol! Another great video Robert 😎😊
Really AWESOME footage Robert .... You captured the Calif coastline so WELL !!!!!
Its the ONLY place on earth like IT .... (One of a kind) !!!
Hola....really enjoyed the video. The California coast is extraordinary. I grew up in SoCal but live in Utah, so we take our RV to the coast a couple times per year for an ocean fix. By the way, every time that I make picadillo I think of you. Thx for sharing!
My hubby and I lived in Arcata/Eureka for a few months in the early 1970s. Loved the area. Loved the Samoa Cookhouse. Many places we enjoyed unfortunately are now out of business. Fort Ross which of course is down the coast S. of Eureka many miles is one of my favorite places. I also love Willits which is where some of my family members lived long ago.
Love traveling with you Robert !
Robert you asking the cow for directions cracked me up 😂 Thank you!!
I really enjoy your videos and admire your traveling lifestyle. thanks for all the traveling ideas.
So many memories. I was in Mendocino 20 years ago and stayed at the sea rock Inn. Also I went on those very hiking trails. There’s a light house by fort Bragg and in fort Bragg you can ride the skunk train which is AMAZING! That coastline is dangerous. When I was in Mendocino they had a diver drown and it took a while to find his body. The whole rescue effort was in front of the sea rock inn. Also the lookout across the street of the sea rock you can see more caves. Amazing view but treacherous, turbulent waves.
This video was one of your best because of the scenery. Unbelievable how beautiful it is. Great job with editing too. As always, have fun and stay safe.
Thanks!
Love this episode. I was able to see Point Reyes about 4 years ago.
Amazing camera work and smooth narrative...this is going to be good.
You are soooo funny. Healthy lunch was a salad with ranch dressing and a cookie. Add an IPA, why not! ? Very interesting travels on this episode. Very cool.
Love your videos I hope you enjoyed the trip to the west coast its been a few years since I drive the 101 heading that way next month.
On my California trip Winter break 2018/2019 we went to San Francisco and drove across the Golden Gate Bridge Twice and it was clear and sunny but a little chilly! The Bay area is one of my top 5 favorite vacation destinations!
Fancy driving at 19:15ish, loved the u turn in Bodega Ca. You drive like you're from the Bronx.
This has been one of your best. I am from Cal, But live in the NW now I did this drive a couple of years ago. Well done, and I drove or tried too get to the end of Point Reyes, and your right that is a long drive. I had to turn around because it was getting dark and needed to find a hotel to spend the night. Found a motel with a great restaurant . the Hotel was called Two birds.
Hi Robert;
Great Views of the Pacific North west. Time for some Cuban Coffee! Safe Travels Robert!
Great video Robert! Beautiful coast! Did the PCH from San Diego to San Francisco. Hope to make the drive you’re making one day! Looking forward to your videos of the rest of the west coast!
Great episode! I did a roadtrip to California in 2018 (Golden Gate, Yosemite, Death Valley, & everything in between) but didn't make it north. Looking forward to the next episode in the Red Woods!
wow wow Thanks for your great video ! i will watch a few times . so beautuil great job !
Robert you are the traveling man . Thanks for all the great videos
Great video!! I did the Southern California tour last summer and plan on going back this year.I would really like to visit central Cali in next few years.
Soooo amazing! Really enjoyed this episode!
I love the coast drive. Jenner is also a favorite little wet spot. By the by, the white on those white capped rocks... it's not snow! Gazillons of Sea Birds and Creatures have left their mark over the span of time. Much prettier from the distance. lol
This is our plan next month! Love your videos 📹 ❤️
thank you very much dear Robert for this very nice video, especially the last piece which was filmed using a drone. as I had you in my previous comment in another video, last month, I did a road trip of the American West, I ended it by taking the autoroure one (from santa maria to san jose) , the landscape was fabulous, the Danish village SOLVANG is very beautiful, they respected European architecture. I liked the 1932 bixby bridge, unfortunately I got foggy. on the other hand, I was lucky when I arrived in San Francisco, the weather was super nice, so I took beautiful pictures of Golden Bridge. you can't have everything in life. good continuation and see you very soon.
These videos are timeless
Thanks for the great video Robert!😊
nice shot of a Condor flying.
Hi from Germany. Sometimes I find the Time to watch an Episode. Always interesting and very relaxing due to your Voice.
SPECTACULAR!!! Thanks, Robert. :)
Howdy Robert, thanks a lot for sharing yet another superb video here which I thoroughly enjoyed watching as always when coming from you.'Nobody is perfect' people are used to say but-be that as it may- at any rate the videos produced by the 'Robert Morales Factory' are certainly very close to perfection to my mind.Best wishes and cordial greetings from William across the Big Pond.
Thank you!
Wow.....OMG Robert just beautiful footage this week. Misty and I were going to fly the plane up to the PNW and island hop............but now she's saying "dear.....instead of flying the plane can we just drive up like Robert and take the Airstream instead???" Looks like our summer trip will be an Airstream trip now. LOL! Great episode.
Thank you for showing the ride. I wanted to take this similar drive too cause I never been to the area above SF. Now I knew how it looks like. You and I have pretty much same taste. If I were there I would stop and talk to cows and stop to look t every beach along the way. :)
Your show definitely reinforces my wanting a Truck camper or class B, for more freedom.
Drove that route many years ago, stopped overnight near Hitchcocks house.
Great video Robert!
Glad you had a good night sleep, rare for me also! I had no idea that Cali. looked like that... I'm spoiled here in Illinois, outside Chicago. The forest preserve country is vast here, so Im in turmoil on where my permanent base should be where I can afford to pay taxes & upkeep & still have great drinking water!
If it's Sunday morning, it must be time to watch a Traveling Robert video! Knowing you were going to be exploring the north coast, I was wondering what kind of weather you were going to have. And, yeah, as you discovered, summertime isn't the best time weather-wise. I'm headed out to Point Reyes myself this afternoon, and the forecast is for clear skies for the next couple of days...yay! If you ever make it back to Bodega Bay, drive out to Bodega Head and stop at Spud Point Crab Co. for some excellent clam chowder. Happy Trails!
As always a nice trip upstate CA. I have to admit when u asked that cow for direction i thought that was funny😀. Cant wait for next esp. Thank you
The Lighthouse is the foggiest part of the West Coast... in the area you can also see the Cypress Tree Tunnel and do a small hike to Alamere Falls which is one of the two waterfalls to kiss the Pacific Ocean besides McWay Falls in Big Sur.
I do feel lucky living here in the SF Bay Area. Yea it can be a bit expensive, but we are so close to so much natural beauty. I love it here.
Next time you are in Fort Bragg, give The Skunk Train a try. A fantastic train ride up into the redwoods!
