  • The KBS Cycle Tank Sealer Kit contains everything you need to seal a tank of up to 5 gallons. This kit contains our KBS AquaKlean (a water-based, heavy-duty, cleaner/degreaser) and KBS RustBlast (a powerful rust remover/metal etch) to obtain a permanently sealed, rust-free fuel tank. These KBS prep products are formulated with a unique Oxygen-Block Technology which reduces the occurrence of flash rust by over 80% and extends rust-free storage times by leaving a temporary protective coating in addition to a zinc phosphate film.

I have been wrenchin bikes for almost 50 years and this is the best tank sealer I have found by far... But.. you must follow the directions to the T. When you use the rust blaster you failed to mention that that stuff is a very powerful etching component and it will dull the paint if it gets on it, and you must put some thick plastic under the fuel cap and put it on very tight, you must turn the tank in a matter that covers the entire tank, the way you did it. nothing was treated on the top of the tank. when you put the sealer in, what ever you get it on, if it dry's you cant get it off, and just sit down and roll the tank consistently for at least 1/2 hour and focus on all sides including the top of the tank, sorry so long but I hope this helps

I tried this method and my gas tank still leaks. The gas leaks out of one of the breather holes once it gets to a certain level.
