    I can only imagine what it was like when they roamed the earth alive. Great find. I don't think I ever saw baby dinosaur bones, cool. I love dinosaurs.

    I havent been to a musuem in decades... so this was really cool to see lol. My favourite is how quiet and peaceful musuems tend to be. Its a totally different atmosphere..

    One little known fact , every T-Rex skeleton found is radioactive and that's why they are painted .

      Depends on the depositional environment. Lots of uranium in the soils in Wyoming and SE Montana. Colorado too. Not so much up in the hi-line area of Montana.

      @three6ohchris Před 2 lety

      It's not just T-Rex fossils... The skeletons that fossilized had the original bone replaced by minerals, and, in places where the minerals are radioactive, the fossilized parts were therefore made of the radioactive minerals.
      This is true for ALL fossilized remains, not just dinosaurs for example. Fossilized redwoods are also radioactive and so forth…and they were originally wood.

      There has never been a single Tyrannosaurus fossil ever found to be radioactive. Some dinosaur fossils have, but none of Tyrannosaurus.

    My son takes our grandson to the dinosaur museums now and then and I'm jealous when they send me pics. Haven't been since I was in grade school on a field trip. Maybe this deserves to be on channel 1 too?

    That's because birds are theropod dinosaurs, as are T.rex and Allosaurus as well.

    I love your videos and really appreciate your time and how awesome it is that you tell all the history of everywhere you stop at. My husband and I traveled around the world doing nature and wildlife photography and one of are many trips to this area we were going to stop here and check it out to see if it was worth bringing our granddaughter since the age of three she has been absolutely obsessed with dinosaurs unfortunately time did not let us do this together. She is 8 know it’s been three years since he passed and she still has difficulty and one thing the doctors has told me is to still continue talking and taking her places that reminded her of how happy she was with him so we brought her to several dinosaur parks and have taken her to a couple places with preserved prints so I will definitely not hesitate to bring her to this one I have been burned a couple of times believing the information I can find out about theses places and traveling from State College Pennsylvania with a very young girl disappointed about what we thought we were going to be seeing is not a fun ride home. Especially when all she is really interested in is everything dinosaurs even picked over Disney world. So please know how much I appreciate the time you take to find out the history of theses places and all of your time. So this will be my next trip with her she will absolutely love this. Stay safe and alert.

    Thermopolis Wyoming has a dinosaur museum with a dig site out behind the museum. You have to pay for a tour where they drive you up to the dig sites. Then if you drive towards Cody there are petroglyphs down a road to the left called Legend Rock. Watch for the sign.

    This is really cool and thanks for sharing it with us! I'm glad you were able to see it. I lived in Montana for 10 years and always wanted to see this but wasn't able to. But the mounts in Missoula where I lived had the same layers of formation as Hell Creek. The layers were caused by the prehistoric Lake Missoula. It was kind of neat living there as finding crystals was common.
    It would be neat if you could visit Custer's Last Stand on your journey, it's really worth the drive there. Stay safe!

    Is it just me or does Montana’s T. rex look much bigger than Sue? Of all the videos and pics I’ve seen from the two this one just seems so much taller than Sue in comparison to people that walk past it.

    I'm glad we get to see their fossilized bones, because if they werent extinct, humans wouldnt likely exist. Would be more likely that some dinosaur evolved into a self conscious being with opposing thumbs to build things. 😬

    Hi, Chris, thanks for the dinosaur tour. I believe I remember reading that in either Montana or Utah, archiologists have found areas where fossilized tracks of dinosaurs have been found intermingled with human tracks, indicating that both humans and dinosaurs have shared the same areas in the same time periods. Can you imagine sharing your hunting grounds with critters big enough to squish you flatter than a pancake? God Bless and stay safe.

    Isn't it wild to imagine these giant creatures roaming the earth? It's so surreal, and feels like it's made up and part of some fantasy world. To be clear, I do believe that they existed, I'm not a dinosaur denier... Just saying how insane it is that these once walked where you and I are currently sitting and where we live in most cases. Amazing.

    Chris, if you come to Connecticut you have to go to and video the amazing foot prints at Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill, CT. The groups of fossilized tracks are a rare find. The ornithischian dinosaurs evolved into today’s birds.
