For Itachi to keep up with Naruto using the Nine tails chakra just shows you how he doesn't need any kind of tailed beast to be strong.
god i love pain's character, he is one of the major turning points in naruto characters, the pain arc was the one where naruto matured the most, the arc where he started to learn and realise that the world and it's politics are much bigger than just konoha, that sometimes decisions that are very favorable to the leaf are in fact very damageing to the rest of the world, a very important lesson that he will need as he grows older and has much more responsabilitys and decisions to make, allways aware that good people can often turn into bad people if pushed to the breaking point

Kabuto cannot just cancel Itachi, coz he lost control over him and not connected to him, to cancel his reanimation, he must cancel all reanimations, or rewrite Itachi but this only possible with direct contact

People always under appreciate or underate Nagato. Bro was 1 v 3ing KCM1 Naruto, Killer Bee and Itachi. If Nagato were to focus on attacking Itachi as well this would have been a difficult fight. Nagato is easily in the top 15 strongest Naruto Characters.
The "weirdness" of how Itachi is still alive and cant be recalled from the reanimation jutsu will be explained later. Itachi said that every jutsu has a weakness/cons and that "weirdness" is one of it because it may end up with a bigger problem in the end.
This ep was epic, we got to hear Itachi and Pain's theme at the same time.

They nerfed nagato here by having kabuto controlling him, nagato coulda killed them if he was in control but itachi is clutch asf. Nagato was kabutos strongest reanimation behind that “special reserve”. Also nagato was right saying he’s a failure coz he failed in following the path jiraiyas teachings set up for his life. He went down the wrong path that’s what he means, and he wants Narutos story to be the greatest of the trilogy between jiraiya, nagato himself n naruto. And in the end naruto's was the greatest one just like nagato said :)

The normal reanimated shinobis are always weaker than they're actual life forms .
It is mentioned that reanimations have infinite chakra . That's true . But there is a limit which they can put in a jutsu . Like , they can't go beyond what they did during their life . Having infinite chakra is like a durability bonus . They don't need to build-up chakra at all .
Nagato really had it rough fighting all these goats at the same time . One on one , and he could take down anyone of them .

@CHEKE18 Plot, cause it's just stupid that as a reanimated he still was crippled by Hanzo's paper bomb jutsu, which prevented him from avoiding Itachi's attacks.
From my perspective it would have been better if Nagato was still partially injured by the influence of Gedo Mazo due to how the Rinnegan stakes are like an imperfect state of the Gudoudamas that come with Six Paths chakra which are capable of ignore various conditions of the reanimation jutsu.

I love the conclusion of Nagato's arc, it's a little bit bittersweet but he redeemed himself, passed the torch of his dreams and hopes in a really beautiful way to Naruto and reunited with Jiraiya and probably Yahiko and Konan too.
PS. I believe he always had the knowledge/chance to heal himself but he chose not, dunno the reason maybe something like "self punishment" or in order to don't forget "pain" it would be really lame if he didn't know he was able to do that but Kabuto did.

Nagato is indeed a failure . This was a reference to jiraya calling himself a failure when he was dying . Jiraya was the perfect beginning of the story . Dreaming of peace . Setting on a journey to find and guild the " changer " . While nagato lost himself and nearly changed the world for worse despite jiraya's teachings . He redeemed himself ofc and acknowledged jiraya but it doesn't change the fact that he killed many . But naruto , by getting the peace jiraya wanted in the best way , is the perfect final . Itachi is the strongest guy in entire naruto universe - he beat naruto with his talking - he made guy remember his name - in his susanoo he is invincible due to the totsuka blade and yata mirror - he pretty much was the hokage of konoha in the age of 13 (shadow hokage, but protected it better than hiruzen and tsunade toghether) and ppl still screaming he wont stand a chance against madara xD pay attention next time watching it
