Regarding the "disguise switching macro". Is it especially for this adventure, or is it a feature that you can use for home brew stuff as well?

By its nature, you’d have to find the macro but once you did you’d be able to bring it in to anything else. So long story short, it’s probably not going to just pop up in another game but if you get access to the macro in the adventure you should be able to bring it across to any other game you want.
