stalemate was just the media showing how stupid and out of touch with their jobs they are. investigate, fact find, present facts and tell the story so people can form their own opinion is real journalism.
Their coverage has been damning. The idea 🇺🇦 now can’t win or it’ll take years is insane + reveals how much media expectations shift w/out reason : the “experts” and media went from “they’ll lose in three days” to “they’ll easily split the Russian army in summer 2023 even without half the tools we promised”
And now back to “Russia is winning - they took 🇺🇦 Meryinka after only 2 years despite it being on the edge of Dontesk” (and was basically just a field since 100% of the tiny village’s structures were flattened completely - so no utility as a fortification or places to hide while advancing. - that Russia lost around 125 AVs (IFVs, APCs and MBTs) + 10k KIA.
Meanwhile, they say nothing about how Ukraine has fully driven the remnants of the BS Fleet away and achieved the ability to sxport grain. Or how Russian has lost tens-of-thousands in a two-month period and around a thousand major systems (tanks, IFVs, APCs, TOS-1, MLRS, artillery systems, jets, helicopters, GBADs, etc., etc.)

Exactly!
There’s no stalemate. Russia is trying really hard to to advance. They’re experiencing unsustainable losses while the front lines aren’t moving. If they continue with this strategy, they will lose this war. This is therefore not a stalemate.
According to all the rest of the world media, Russian are on the charge with minor casualties compared compared to Ukraine losses that exceeded WW1 Somme daily. 500k so far. Why are the western media reports so different.
@@terjeoseberg990 Right...that is why Russia has gained more ground than Ukraine in 2023? Talking about unsustainable loses meanwhile Ukrainian command chain has mis-used their troops multiple times and now have to fill in the missing ranks and form new units to compensate

Exactly. There’s no stalemate. Russia is trying really hard to to advance. They’re experiencing unsustainable losses while the front lines aren’t moving. If they continue with this strategy, they will lose this war. This is therefore not a stalemate.
@@terjeoseberg990that's hard to believe since they outgun Ukraine and have far more drones. I don't see how an ill equipped army is causing more casualties than the more modern army.
At some point, someone in Ukraine and/or Russia, is going to have to come to the same realization that the US and South Korea came to in the Korean War, that the 38th parallel was as good as things were going to get, and realize, that the lines aren't going to move in any significant direction from here on out. Both sides seem well dug in and exhausted.
The classic rule about journalistic headlines: If the article title is a question the answer is 'no'.
It never was a stale mate. Its a stupid western propaganda talking point.
The war to regain lost territory is lost. If they don't sue for peace now, more people and land will be lost for good,

Donbas was not invaded by Russia in 2014. The invasion was in 2022.
The Donbas was actually invaded in 2014, the same year as Crimea. The full-scale invasion began 24 Feb 2022
Donbass regions were invaded by forces of the Ukrainian regime shortly after the Feb 2014 coup (in April 2014). They termed it an "anti-terrorist" operation as unarmed local residents tried to stop tanks by building barricades and appealing to the military to go home and leave their communities in peace. Crimeans were lucky as Sevastopol had a treaty for 20,000 Russian naval force to be stationed there until 2032 in return for gas subsidies. These forces were able to prevent a Ukraine regime invasion.@@leannastoufer6333

@@OliverKassyJacobsen They made no assumption to eradicate us. Russia did.
Who is going to fly these F-16s? The US F16 pilots train for thousands of hours and go to school in how to fight with these jets. Is anyone in Ukraine actually doing that, or are they just planning on winging and figuring things out as they go?

Every time I see Zelensky dutifully executing his job (or is it a passion?) regardless of the negligence of the seriousneess of the situation by the West I feel sorry for him. And I admire him for carrying on. I credit that in part to his experience of being an actor. But at the same time I feel he has tied his personal fate to that of his country. That is a picture I get and it might be superficial. As a good leader one has to perform like a good actor. And nobody really knows how it looks under the surface. But I think this picture is to a great extent real. He could have done things differently and more favorably for his personal benefit. And he didn't. So I believe in him and his real committment to his country. I hope his valor will be rewarded one day. He is the right man in the right place. Which, by repeating myself, I cannot say of some western leaders.
Glory to Ukraine from Germany.
he's very well with all those pocketed billions, don't feel sorry for cleptocrat busy earning his share of loot from exploiting inevitable collapse of Ukraine.
I agree
Zelensky does not deserve a drop of regret. He went to the polls with the slogan that he would stop the Civil War in Donbass. When he won, he joined the terrorists who were killing Russians in Donbass. Zelensky deserves nothing but contempt. Glory to Russia.

If it was a stalemate, that would be the end of the game
Well, I'm sure Ukraine won't like it, but why would it be the end of the game?
The west has waisted so much on Ukraine that we can only hope that the russians has no ambition to beyond Ukraine’s western border. The western strategy so far has been based on hope and that is generally a bad idea.

Yeah, but didn't Ukraine just try the same thing in their counter-offensive, which nowhere? Both sides look kind of tuckered out to me.
@@ralphholiman7401, Ukraine hasn’t been losing around 30,000 soldiers per month for 6 months like Russia, because Ukrainians are a lot smarter.

I think that most of the people that listen to this podcast, ( not me ),agree with the decisions to dismiss the 2 Minsk agreements & the Istambul peace process. They may prefer the 'big gamble', but the costs have been catastrophic. Western coverage of the war is changing, but not because Kiev is winning.

Ok comrade.
Look at the map, Russia is 5 times larger than NATO.
Not in a stalemate, its not a matter of if Ukraine will surrender, its a matter of when.
What is most important is that unnecessary casualty be minimized while Ukraine awaits arrival of necessary, tools to be able to make territorial advances. In the meantime, Ukraine's wasting of Russian troops is not a stalemate, as the cold winter days will cause casualty due topoor health and inadequate clothing!
Shame the Eastern and Southern Parts of Ukraine are fighting along side the Russians hey m8.

Huh? Ukraine is losing 5 to every 1 Russian. The average age is now 43. Kiev is actually sending mentally disabled as cannon fodder. Not a stalemate, Ukraine has lost but hasn't surrendered yet.
No. Its in a lull while both sides catch their breath and try to figure out what to do next.
Unfortunately Ukraine needs to wait for the US Congress to overcome the pro-Putin elements. The whole thing is ridiculous, imagine General Montgomery landing on D-Day and the having to wait and see if funds were available to continue the liberation of France. If Ukraine gets what it needs there is no reason this war can't be wrapped up with a timely Spring offensive as they now know all of Russia's tricks. And this one will be with MIA1s and F16s !
Stalemate 😂😂😂😂😂
In fact, a stalemate would favour Ukraine to a tee, Russia has inherited a war industry from the Soviets

10:34 Before the war, there were already 44% russian ethnic in Melitopol. Regarding the fact, that Ukraine has the biggest domestic migration since 10 years and that a lot of russian ethnics have left regions like Lviv. Isn't it likely that this increase is based on russian Ukranians than Russians from Russia?
My Russian Ukrainian friends don't want to live under Putin. They're loyal to Ukraine. Loyalty to values trumps ethnic loyalty.
The content starting around 24:30…Ukraine’s foreign minister citing firsts by the Trump administration oversimplifies cause and effect as his statement ignores the timing of events. By this logic one could argue the Trump administration did virtually nothing relative to the Biden administration, who have sent many billions of dollars worth of aid. The difference lays in the timing and intensity of events.
US military aid to nations with which no treaty exists is typically slow…as in two years or more without significant ongoing combat. Yes, the Obama administration was arguably slow and inadequate in responding to the 2014 “uprising” in the Donbas and Luhansk along with the little green men in Crimea. That does not mean, with a different history, the Obama administration would have done less or nothing relative to the Trump administration.
Despite Putin's success at taking control of the U.S. Congress which has held up new aid hopefully temporarily, F-16's and the associated striking options available from them are still going to be provided this year. They're going to change the battlefield quite a bit.
As to Trump, thankfully he's going to be jail and not the White House again. His disdain towards Ukraine and support for Putin has been evident for a long time. His first impeachment should have made it clear to Ukrainians.
@@kevinleecaster2698I doubt the F-16s are gonna change the frontlines all that much.
