    I love Irish folk music, but more in the direction of Altan, Clannad or Mary Black. That is what I think of first. And then there is the Bing Crosby and Gene Kelly current of Irish music. There are many strands, take your pick. And then songs in Irish Gaelic too. And Carolan. Endless possibilities. There is something Irish for everyone.

    Actually, Lennon, McCartney and Harrison were/are Irish. Their heritage is well documented. Their brilliance as songwriters and as Irishmen is well noted as well.

    Apart from Richard Starkey (Ringo) they were of Irish descent , the problem I have with this is it's just not funny.
