Your baby isn't a baby anymore but if this helps anyone, that's a normal phase for them to go through. They figure it out really quickly ❤ I took a regular straw and pinched it with liquid in it so my baby could taste that straw=liquid and then I opened it and let them figure out how to suck liquid up. If the straw is the right length and strength for them, they'll get liquid up when they spend some time trying.

Same issue.. He started to have teething at 7 months so no feeding bottles, no spout cups, no sippy cups, no spoons and no open cups 😢
He is thirsty but he is not drinking water...he started playing with bottles and spouts by chewing. Spoon water is not meeting his demand and with open cups he is splitting water all over and chokes sometimes.
      I'm looking for a remedy 😭

@@DV-005 you should force feed him milk/water for now using oral syringes. Then keep trying to use straw or cups. They will eventually learn to uae them

Because they have to suck it for it to come out lol, thats the reason you cradle them like they having a bottle, so they suck the straw. Once they get the hang of it you turn it up the right way and should beable to use a normal straw xx

I'm sure it will... it's getting the baby to transition from what they're used to (a bottle) to a straw and helping them understand that it is the same skill.
