TRIP REPORT | Alitalia - A319 - Rome (FCO) to Genoa (GOA) | Economy

On May 18, I flew Alitalia from Rome Leonardo da Vinci International Airport to Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport on an Airbus A319. Because this flight was just under 45 minutes, the flight was pretty uneventful... that's why I edited a nice montage at the end of nearby Portofino.

The A in the tail was designed in the 60’s(?) by Landor Associates. I believe they also created the logo and design for BA (crest with triangles on the tail).
Always liked the Alitalia logo, very distinct and easily recognisable. Cheers.

At 8:47 in the top left you can see the Morandi Bridge that collapsed on august 14th 2018 killing 43 people :(
You made a mistake on the beginning it was supposed to be an a319 not a330-200

You did very very well. I like your video start of really being on vacation there at 12:08..The music and going around Genoa walking and on a yacht. I do miss being in Rome and Venice.
Interesting trip report on board Alitalia domestic flight. Lovely shoots during approaching GVA and while in Portofino.
I saw those cruise ships there in the Genia Harbour area about (8:28) in timing. They were looking hot for the summer cruising. ....
Nice review, which brought back nice memories from my own exact same flight a few weeks ago after flying Alitalia from JFK. Unfortunately, I was sitting on the left side so I didn’t see the city - where I lived from 1969-1975 - on approach. I also visited Portofino by boat - but we only got to walk around for about an hour before having to head back. I used to fly the Genoa-Rome route on DC-9s back in the day. Nice vid! 👍

You can’t really say it was a lack of IFE because it’s a very short flight I’ve done Rome to la Metzia it’s about 45 and you don’t really need many snacks either

Flew them a while back on the a319 and a320. I can forgive no snacks and no entertainment easily on short flights, but the legroom is a disaster. Apparently it's better on the a321, but the smaller busses are litterally painful to fly.

Lots of airlines lease rather than buy their aircraft. The largest leasing companies are based in Ireland for low tax purposes. So the aircraft are registered there.

On that flight what enternaiment do you want? It’s a regional flight so is useless enternaiment. You don’t know the situations of alitalia.
