Forever Sydney FC! The We are Sydney chant always gets me pumped up. The Cove all the way!!!
The RBB peak on their marches and they are also very loud at the start of the game I reckon. They tend to be pretty bad at singing high pitched though, and settle for singing an octave lower which really stops them from being that loud outside of peak times. The core group never really stop singing for the full 90 minutes, but after they've been singing the same chant for 5 minutes and people start to get bored and drop off, they persist in singing the same chant for the next 10-15 minutes and it just comes off really droney and boring.
The Cove probably sing for less of the game, but when they do sing, more fans sing higher pitched which really cuts through, just check that clip of 'We are Sydney' at 3:50 for an example, irl it's absolutely deafening when the cove are at their peak.
The Cove tend to react to what's going on on the pitch more as well, if the team is doing badly but there's still a visible chance of success they'll pick up to try and get the team going. If the team's getting hammered things can get pretty quiet, but my God if the team score a winning goal in the derby, the scenes that follow are usually absolutely insane. Can't say I've seen the RBB or North Terrace quite as elated as the Cove can be when things are going Sydney FC's way.
Another thing is the spontaneity, if a certain player does something then they sing player chants, if an opposition player does something they sing diss chants. If the fans of the other team do something they have diss chants. The spontaneity and sense of humour in the Cove is special and something that they should try to preserve, not drown out just because their loud obnoxious neighbours don't have it and they're the ones getting more media attention.
What about Melburnians? And please don't hate on us.

What'd be funny is if the Sydney derby on Saturday has a higher attendance than the Sydney Swans vs GWS Giants semi final a few weeks ago. Would really make a mark that Football is there for good in Sydney.

It's all well and good to have good home support (which outside the Melbournians you don't) but your away support is piss poor showing an element of plastic support with people not wanting to leave Melbourne. If you look at either of the sydney teams for example they have good away fans at every away game but it feels that no away fan travels to either anz or Allianz. Just take last season for example when we versed Melbourne at Allianz and about 5 away fans showed up with it being a very important game for you guys. So no whilst they have alright fans they are nowhere near the best fans in the league. Also the semi vs Perth last season and you couldn't get a sell out at ground with only 30 000 seats available.
