Clint: Just discovered this, I worked at Juskatla from 66-72, I knew your father Art, he sold me lots of tapes at the commissary, I was a pad man for both Papa John, and Ches Skeard. Worked on Lake Rd. and Elk Rd. Nick name was Twiggy. I noticed my old boss in this video, Kenny Richardson. Hope to see more as I browse. Brought back many memories. Thanks

Glad to know that others enjoy this stuff as much as I do! Be sure to watch the stuff I just posted. I try to bring my camera along wherever I go, so I have some pretty cool pictures in my collection.

We have tons (literally) of heavy machinery up here. 11 off-highway trucks visible from where I sit right now! Plus a faller buncher, Cat 980, a log loader, all kinds of good stuff!

    Sounds good, I will.
Two of my teachers from the Forestry Program at Malaspina University log up there on the QCI's.
I have been there but only on the Commercial Troller I worked on in 1986, and the Dive Boat I worked on in 1989. I wish I could say I have made it back, but not yet...it is on the list though.
I love it up there. Some of the Deer may be smaller, but some of the fish are much bigger too!
You have cool vids man, I'll be back.

Very cool pics you have and a cool lil vid you put together. Five STARS from Me *****
My logging Proffesor would have passed you for just making it on logging...but when you put a Madill or two in there he would have given you an A+ for sure now! LOL

That would be neat to see. That was on branch five, eh? The mats are still there from when that happened.

Awesome pictures, thanks for posting! That old cable shovel was pretty cool. What era would that have been? The 324D on the lowbed is a sweetheart of a machine.

The shovels were used here until about 1984. They built a LOT of road up here!

Yes, it is my dear old Dad. The shovel is the S-12, I think. Taken in 1975. That is Papa John at the controls. I have a picture of Ches on the S-10, too.
