Agreed - while Clovis should have backed down when Padme asked him to stop - his protecting of Anakin like that was pretty respectable. I also appreciated how Clovis was able to get a few hits on Anakin even if he did get ass handed to him. Sad but true - I think Clovis was still a more respectable guy then Anakin as a Jedi knight. Anakin's life was a lie.
I don't think it had anything to do with honor. He decided not to say anything at the moment because he knows he can use the incident as leverage or blackmail to get Anakin to do what he wants. Considering he also now knows that Anakin and Padme are an item; marriage not being relevant. He knows that if Anakin interferes with him, he can do one of three things: expose his relationship to the Jedi Council which would lead to expulsion, tell the authorities about beating Clovis up thus creating a diplomatic incident between the Senate and the Jedi, or do both.
Clovis lost gracefully and took the lose on the chin, I'll give him that. He even got a few punches in, and some of his moves were actually good unexpectedly.

The point is Anakin isn't beating him to protect her from being violated, he's doing it out of a sense of entitlement of something that's HIS being violated. That's an important distinction.
It occurs to me that this is the first time Padame’s seen this side of Anakin in person. Like she heard him talk about killing the Tuskens, but she didn’t actually see it. Maybe that’s why this hit her so hard.

I think this scene parallels with Anakin's arc in Revenge of the Sith pretty perfectly. At first, he sees Clovis trying to force himself onto Padme. Justifyingly enraged by this, he starts beating him up. He's just tryna protect his wife... for now. Like how he was trying to save Padme from her supposed death in ROTS, a justifiable and good cause. Then she begs him to stop, he doesn't. He completely ignores her, even saying "You don't have a say in this" at 1:11 , similar to how he doesn't truly consider what her say is in the matter of her own death, before deciding to do the horrible things he did in his effort to prevent her death, and also doesn't consider if she would be ok with him doing all such despicable things for the sake of not losing her. Then, his jealousy starts to take over him as he goes from kicking his ass to trying to outright kill Clovis, similar to how his effort to save Padme ends with his anger, Paranoia and lust for power and control taking over him to the point where he nearly killed Padme himself. This time he realizes what he's doing, finally stops after hearing Padme beg a thousand times. The next time however... he doesn't.
I feel more parallels with the Tusken Massacre in AOTC. I personally never saw Anakin as a jealous man whatsoever. He sees the one he loves most potentially in more serious danger, and acts swiftly to prevent it. However, even when the threat was dealt with, he was too enraged to stop. Forgets his training, forgets Padme's presence, even the reason he's doing this in the first place. He just wants this bastard to HURT. Then, once he calms down, he's forced to face what he's done. He could have stopped when there was no threat, like his training said, but he didn't. He was overcome with anger, which slowly fades into regret.
Well to be fair wasnt some of that for survival? In this, although Anakin was right to punch Clovis to get him away from Padme, he overdid it here cause he almost kills him by choking him and throwing him against the crystal table. Not to mention the "You dont have a say in this" from Anakin. Like Ani didn't just do it to save Padme but out of jelaousy.
Then in Bad Batch, Vader unmasked yell like a man when he fight against Maul protecting baby Ezra that seventeen years later, Ezra Will fight against the ghosts of Nightsisters and he will react Ben Kenobi fight against Maul on Tatooine. I remember watching this and my grandfather (who was falling asleep for most the episode lol) just yelled "OH SH*T IT'S GOING DOWN!" when they started fighting and all my family members ran into the living room to watch as we all reacted with my grandpas reactions being the loudest. Less than a year later my grandpa was sadly gone. Rest in peace grandpa, it's these fun memories with you that I will always cherish.

I think this scene parallels with Anakin's arc in Revenge of the Sith pretty perfectly.
At first, he sees Clovis trying to force himself onto Padme. Justifyingly enraged by this, he starts beating him up. He's just tryna protect his wife... for now. Like how he was trying to save Padme from her supposed death in ROTS, a justifiable and good cause.
Then she begs him to stop, he doesn't. He completely ignores her, even saying "You don't have a say in this" at 1:11 , similar to how he doesn't truly consider what her say is in the matter of her own death, before deciding to do the horrible things he did in his effort to prevent her death, and also doesn't consider if she would be ok with him doing all such despicable things for the sake of not losing her.
Then, his jealousy starts to take over him as he goes from kicking his ass to trying to outright kill Clovis, similar to how his effort to save Padme ends with his anger, Paranoia and lust for power and control taking over him to the point where he nearly killed Padme himself.
This time he realizes what he's doing, finally stops after hearing Padme beg a thousand times.

I feel more parallels with the Tusken Massacre in AOTC. I personally never saw Anakin as a jealous man whatsoever. He sees the one he loves most potentially in more serious danger, and acts swiftly to prevent it. However, even when the threat was dealt with, he was too enraged to stop. Forgets his training, forgets Padme's presence, even the reason he's doing this in the first place. He just wants this bastard to HURT. Then, once he calms down, he's forced to face what he's done. He could have stopped when there was no threat, like his training said, but he didn't. He was overcome with anger, which slowly fades into regret.
