This reminds me of my experience. Around 20 years ago, a time I was in 3rd standard, we were renovating the house, we found baby squirrels (2). We left them and mom was nowhere to be found even after hours. Then I took the responsibility of fostering them. With no access to fast information on Internet today, and with 0 experience, I guess my instinct took hold of me and I started feeding them diluted cow milk using an ink filler - multiple times day and night. In weeks, they learnt to eat veggies, nuts, fruits. Then my parents wanted them to be reintroduced to wild since they were strong enough to face the outside world. Initially my dad released them on a nearby tree but they found their way back home within minutes and came running directly to me. Later my dad carried them little far and released them against my wish. I howled, cried, rolled on the road but my dad didn't budge. Back then I did not understand what my parents were doing. The bond was so strong that I sobbed for weeks after they were taken away from me. Today if I look back, I feel happy. I have no idea how long squirrels live. I just hope they both lived a happy and complete lives.
@@meghnamakwana5838 I too found 3 baby squirrels 2-3 days back and they were of around 4-5 weeks as by the information from internet, 2 had their eyes closed the day we bought them but today all are doing good The day we bought it, I fed it with a mixture of diluted milk(cows milk+water) + a bit of curd(maybe 2-3 drops) and a pinch of glucose as their mother died a day before and they were hungry for a whole day We keep them in a cardboard box which is filled with cotton and bit of clothes, they like to live inside it as it gives them the necessary warmth and calmness, give some 10-15 minutes of sunlight , feed them in interval of every 2.5 hours and after feeding gently rub a wet cotton/cloth in their genitals so that they can excrete I'm not any professional but it seems like this is working since after giving this diet and care, eyes of 2 squirrels are opened, they are looking more active and strong and now regularly excrete which suggest that the food is being digested
I also had a squirrel 2 years back.. I miss him so much.. His memories haunt me and reminds me of the day I lost him.. and I used to feed it milk every three hours because when it really gets hungry it drinks milk without throwing baby tantrums ... I am.just kidding I got the average timing by keeping a tab on his hungry moments ... also you should at least let the baby squirrel stay in partial sunlight that will keep it's furr protected from bacterial infection ... and I used to clean it's body using a slightly wet paper towel ... I hope this information helps who every gets the opportunity to take care of a precious baby squirrel ... ... but first you should always check if has a mother around cuz it's mother goes out a lot to eat ...and baby squirrels are at least three in number may be four or even five in number so check that area throughly to confirm if their are any more babies around ... their could be a chance that the baby squirrel may have crawled out from it's burrow so you can also look for a burrow kind of opening in the wall or a place where you can find some coushing nests in the building where you found it .. if you check and see that it's mother is not around for three hours and the baby really seems malnutritioned to you then you can take it in your care ... Bro I have a same to same ditto squirrel baby . I found him 1 day ago and luckily I love to watch an animal rescue channel named A Chick Called Albert and because I have seen him rescue alot of squirrels so I did rescued him !! I am so happy and I feed him the same milk as you do (one horrible thing is that I saved him from an eagles paw and from my dog too🙁)
Instead of syringes u can use droppers that are used for certain kind of syrup's or medicines..droppers are much safer than syringes cause if an excess amount of milk is put in his mouth it may reach his lungs which could leads to pneumonia..hope that helps 🤠

Thanks for this. This morning I found a nest of baby palm squirrels in our living room and they were crying there all day but I never saw their mom return to care for them. So I'm taking them in and doing my research on how to care for them. They are tiny but have some fur. I'm keeping them warm in a box with their nest and a warm water bottle. They're eating well and going potty when I wipe them with a wet cotton ball which is good. There's 2 boys and 2 girls. Hopefully they make it to be returned to the outdoors. They are so precious little babies. 🥺
@@WildlyIndian yes they're doing really well. I was told to feed them Cerelac baby food mixed with water and a little milk with cream and that seems to be working for them. They're so active and crawling all over my hands when they're ready to be fed despite their eyes are still closed lol. 🍼🐿️

Is it good to add sugar in milk? I have a baby squirrel and am feeling her only milk with droper. When I found her she was looking same as squirrel in the video but now it's grown lil bit. Should I feed her some veggies?
I heard that sugar will make them overweight n these are very small animals which is very active... It'll be keep on jumping, running etc. And also I heard that sugar is not good for animals.

Thankyou for this ! Today I found a nest in a tree that was cut down in my neighborhood :( There are three babies and I fed them milk just as you showed. They have fur and their eyes are open. Their mother is there but I have no idea where to keep the nest, or should I even keep the nest back as there are numerous stray cats here. @@nish9131 oh I saw this just now!! I hope everything went fine. I Fed them cow milk diluted with water, with little bit of sugar. After one week I started with soft fruits, then gradually rice, dosa and roti. Now they eat everything. Now my dilemma is how to release them. As they're three, they've bonded amongst themselves, not with us humans. So they can survive, but still they're small.
TO EVERYONE WHO IS WATCHING THIS VIDEO *PLEASE DO NOT REFER TO THIS VIDEO*. I myself have rescued squirrel babies in the past and I know a lot about them. So this is a request to everyone that DO NOT feed them cow's milk, even if it is diluted. And especially do not put sugar in it. Too much sugar content is fatal for them and cow's milk is known to cause indigestion in them. So, an alternative food source that I use is Cerelac 'Wheat flavored or Rice flavored'. I mix it with warm water and then feed them. They love it and it has no side effects! So this is my humble request to anyone out there who has found squirrels, please do not feed them milk, and rather, feed them Cerelac.
THANK YOU SO MUCHHHH!! I've been watching you since almost 5-6 years now and I remember watching this video back then when you posted it. This morning I found this baby squirrel just sitting all scared tryna find a hiding spot at the back of my washing machine. My dog was constantly sniffing the area and that caught my attention. I tried leaving the baby upstairs in shade cuz my mother insisted. I didn't want to at first but she wanted that so that our dog couldn't disturb, and its mother could find her if she came back looking for the baby and so I did. Unfortunately, the baby somehow managed to come downstairs again within half an hour of me leaving it upstairs. I came to this realization from the sound of the baby screaming in pain and my dog hitting her with it's mouth. I don't this much dog bit the baby but she was a bit bleeding around the mouth area. We don't have any vets nearby so I decided to care for it on my own. I have cared for new born puppies with parvovirus in the past with the help of a vet and they got better. That's all the experience I had in rescuing. I was scared at first but then believed in myself. I gave it some water mixed with ORS for infants. The proportions to feed it in was found from a blog post that I found online with similar case for a baby squirrel. I'm super glad to share that the baby seems to be doing better, has more movement already and seems to be healing good!! :) And it looks like the baby is around a week or 10 days old, so I'm gonna feed it some milk too now. Hey...Me and my wife are currently taking care of a baby squirrel we found in front yard of our home. He looks exactly the same as yours. Other than milk, we are feeding him with water (with some salt and sugar) in it. He seems to like water more than milk.

I do have the squirrel with me and he is quite grown up now, but he doesnot get along with other squirrels or even humans (apart from us). He gets scared if we take him out. Let me know if you need any inputs on how to look after your squirrel. Mine doesnot demand much care.

Baby cerelac with milk cream is far better... Sugar is not good for them... I also have a 3 month sqirrel baby.... And he is good in health..... Viscous milk shuold be given to them... Not diluted

I rescued squirrel catched it when she is taking it to the nest... My gosh the baby dropped in hand from 30ft height and its a road down there she is dropping again and again so i came home finally ans and she is sleeping😊

I too found a baby squirrel in my garden last year... I took care of him and it grew up very well!... I named it Pattu... It grew up... It gave birth to a baby squirrel... and that squirrel grew up and left my home... But Pattu is still in my home!...😂💜 Coming May 4... we are gonna celebrate Pattu's 1st birthday!!...🤣💜💥

First of all , it is not squirrel, in India we only found chipmunks, squirrel are much bigger than chipmunks. Secondly, five years ago I found a baby chipmunk at my home and I named him " Ladoo" as I found on the day of Janamashtami. He stayed at home around 4 months. My experience with ladoo was quite awsome. I am here giving some urgent tips for the people u having baby chipmunk : 1) feed them only with milk no sugar , initially u can feed them with cotton( when their eyes were closed) and later with dropper (when they open eyes) 2) feed them with every two hours 3) they can't do potty and susu themselves as they are babies , use wet cotton and rub on their private parts , they do susu immediately.
I also rescued a baby squirrel & i took a suggestion of a doc. He suggested not to feed him milk. He asked me to feed cerelac in warm water instead. N my baby loves it. He is almost a year old now. N he still eats it obviously with other fresh veggies. Happy n playful. Not interested at all to move out 🤷🏻♀️
I rescued one of these cute babies from my garden ,in fact today , I said rescued because it was raining and because of his/her bad luck , he/she fell in water from his/ her nest , I will aso release him when he /she will be old enough , it was felling like an honor by nature to give me a chance to save him /her (I m 15)

This winter i began feeding the squirrels behind my apt. A wooded area w plenty of birds, squirrels @ other woodland critters. Ur baby squirrel is TOO cute. Hope he lives a long, healthy Squirrel life. Peace @ Love from PA.
U can use pediasure or any b instant baby food formula with milk or water. It has many nutritional value and can make the baby healthy. I gave my baby squirrel same food for two months...still she drinks it . Only milk is not nutritious

With no access to fast information on Internet today, and with 0 experience, I guess my instinct took hold of me and I started feeding them diluted cow milk using an ink filler - multiple times day and night.
In weeks, they learnt to eat veggies, nuts, fruits. Then my parents wanted them to be reintroduced to wild since they were strong enough to face the outside world.
Initially my dad released them on a nearby tree but they found their way back home within minutes and came running directly to me.
Later my dad carried them little far and released them against my wish. I howled, cried, rolled on the road but my dad didn't budge.
Back then I did not understand what my parents were doing. The bond was so strong that I sobbed for weeks after they were taken away from me.
Today if I look back, I feel happy. I have no idea how long squirrels live. I just hope they both lived a happy and complete lives.

@@meghnamakwana5838 I too found 3 baby squirrels 2-3 days back and they were of around 4-5 weeks as by the information from internet, 2 had their eyes closed the day we bought them but today all are doing good
The day we bought it, I fed it with a mixture of diluted milk(cows milk+water) + a bit of curd(maybe 2-3 drops) and a pinch of glucose as their mother died a day before and they were hungry for a whole day
We keep them in a cardboard box which is filled
with cotton and bit of clothes, they like to live inside it as it gives them the necessary warmth and calmness, give some 10-15 minutes of sunlight , feed them in interval of every 2.5 hours and after feeding gently rub a wet cotton/cloth in their genitals so that they can excrete
I'm not any professional but it seems like this is working since after giving this diet and care, eyes of 2 squirrels are opened, they are looking more active and strong and now regularly excrete which suggest that the food is being digested

and I used to feed it milk every three hours because when it really gets hungry it drinks milk without throwing baby tantrums ... I am.just kidding I got the average timing by keeping a tab on his hungry moments ... also you should at least let the baby squirrel stay in partial sunlight that will keep it's furr protected from bacterial infection ... and I used to clean it's body using a slightly wet paper towel ... I hope this information helps who every gets the opportunity to take care of a precious baby squirrel ... ... but first you should always check if has a mother around cuz it's mother goes out a lot to eat ...and baby squirrels are at least three in number may be four or even five in number so check that area throughly to confirm if their are any more babies around ... their could be a chance that the baby squirrel may have crawled out from it's burrow so you can also look for a burrow kind of opening in the wall or a place where you can find some coushing nests in the building where you found it .. if you check and see that it's mother is not around for three hours and the baby really seems malnutritioned to you then you can take it in your care ... I hope this helps

Instead of syringes u can use droppers that are used for certain kind of syrup's or medicines..droppers are much safer than syringes cause if an excess amount of milk is put in his mouth it may reach his lungs which could leads to pneumonia..hope that helps 🤠

Thanks for this. This morning I found a nest of baby palm squirrels in our living room and they were crying there all day but I never saw their mom return to care for them. So I'm taking them in and doing my research on how to care for them. They are tiny but have some fur. I'm keeping them warm in a box with their nest and a warm water bottle. They're eating well and going potty when I wipe them with a wet cotton ball which is good. There's 2 boys and 2 girls. Hopefully they make it to be returned to the outdoors. They are so precious little babies. 🥺

@@WildlyIndian yes they're doing really well. I was told to feed them Cerelac baby food mixed with water and a little milk with cream and that seems to be working for them. They're so active and crawling all over my hands when they're ready to be fed despite their eyes are still closed lol. 🍼🐿️

@@nish9131 oh I saw this just now!! I hope everything went fine. I Fed them cow milk diluted with water, with little bit of sugar. After one week I started with soft fruits, then gradually rice, dosa and roti. Now they eat everything. Now my dilemma is how to release them. As they're three, they've bonded amongst themselves, not with us humans. So they can survive, but still they're small.

TO EVERYONE WHO IS WATCHING THIS VIDEO *PLEASE DO NOT REFER TO THIS VIDEO*. I myself have rescued squirrel babies in the past and I know a lot about them. So this is a request to everyone that DO NOT feed them cow's milk, even if it is diluted. And especially do not put sugar in it. Too much sugar content is fatal for them and cow's milk is known to cause indigestion in them. So, an alternative food source that I use is Cerelac 'Wheat flavored or Rice flavored'. I mix it with warm water and then feed them. They love it and it has no side effects! So this is my humble request to anyone out there who has found squirrels, please do not feed them milk, and rather, feed them Cerelac.

This morning I found this baby squirrel just sitting all scared tryna find a hiding spot at the back of my washing machine. My dog was constantly sniffing the area and that caught my attention. I tried leaving the baby upstairs in shade cuz my mother insisted. I didn't want to at first but she wanted that so that our dog couldn't disturb, and its mother could find her if she came back looking for the baby and so I did. Unfortunately, the baby somehow managed to come downstairs again within half an hour of me leaving it upstairs. I came to this realization from the sound of the baby screaming in pain and my dog hitting her with it's mouth. I don't this much dog bit the baby but she was a bit bleeding around the mouth area. We don't have any vets nearby so I decided to care for it on my own.
I have cared for new born puppies with parvovirus in the past with the help of a vet and they got better. That's all the experience I had in rescuing.
I was scared at first but then believed in myself. I gave it some water mixed with ORS for infants. The proportions to feed it in was found from a blog post that I found online with similar case for a baby squirrel. I'm super glad to share that the baby seems to be doing better, has more movement already and seems to be healing good!! :)
And it looks like the baby is around a week or 10 days old, so I'm gonna feed it some milk too now.

I would suggest that you look after him/her. I do have the squirrel with me and he is quite grown up now, but he doesnot get along with other squirrels or even humans (apart from us). He gets scared if we take him out.

Baby cerelac with milk cream is far better... Sugar is not good for them... I also have a 3 month sqirrel baby.... And he is good in health..... Viscous milk shuold be given to them... Not diluted

First of all , it is not squirrel, in India we only found chipmunks, squirrel are much bigger than chipmunks. Secondly, five years ago I found a baby chipmunk at my home and I named him " Ladoo" as I found on the day of Janamashtami. He stayed at home around 4 months. My experience with ladoo was quite awsome.
I am here giving some urgent tips for the people u having baby chipmunk :
1) feed them only with milk no sugar , initially u can feed them with cotton( when their eyes were closed) and later with dropper (when they open eyes)
2) feed them with every two hours
3) they can't do potty and susu themselves as they are babies , use wet cotton and rub on their private parts , they do susu immediately.

I also rescued a baby squirrel & i took a suggestion of a doc. He suggested not to feed him milk. He asked me to feed cerelac in warm water instead. N my baby loves it. He is almost a year old now. N he still eats it obviously with other fresh veggies. Happy n playful. Not interested at all to move out 🤷🏻♀️

U can use pediasure or any b instant baby food formula with milk or water. It has many nutritional value and can make the baby healthy. I gave my baby squirrel same food for two months...still she drinks it . Only milk is not nutritious
