Everything I've cooked in this unit has come out great czcams.com/users/postUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB ! Everything tastes so good. Some of the recipes I've changed a little to improve the taste. For instance, for french fries which call for no oil, I spray them with olive oil and season them with salt and pepper. They come out great! It makes the best toast I have ever eaten. The recipe I use calls for lightly buttering both sides of the bread. It calls for cooking at 400 degrees for 5 minutes on one side and then 2 minutes on the other side. This time has a lot to do with the kind of bread you are using...so keep an eye on it. Also, the fans in this Ninja are a lot stronger than other air fryers. So lay a metal spoon or something on the bread to keep it from flying around. It's a little extra work to use your Ninja as a toaster but it is worth it!

PUT SOAP DIRECTLY INTO THE BASKET with the dirty rack. Add water so rack is submerged. Put on for 4 min 400 degrees. Dump hot soapy water down the drain, rinse with water. YOU DONT HAVE TO CLEAN WITH A STICK OR WHATEVER. Make the air fryer clean itself :) no scrubbing necessary. Inside though this is a good method for upper heating coil! I ❤❤

I gotta clean my air fryer after each use. I use soapy water, the baking soda paste and vinegar. It works so well. Smells good too. Easy, wipe clean. I soak my pan part in just dawn/soapy water for 30 mins and I wash the whole pan , dry with a towel or I will let it air dry sometimes depending on what I'm doing but I try to make sure I clean it after any greasy foods like bacon 🥓. I use mine for a lot of fried foods and they turn out so crispy and delicious every time. Everyone must own a air fryer and if u don't, get one! Save time n money! I highly recommend!

I loved the greasy goodness comment, a few weeks ago we had to have a septic serviced and were told there was a lot of gunk in the system and asked if we were dumping grease down the drain. We weren't but realized then that soaking the air fryer with the cooking "goodness" was just like pouring it down the drain. Which we would never do. We are now wiping before soaking.

I was always under the impression that dish soap completely dissolved grease. Does it really not? 😬😬 😅

I have one of the Philips XXL air fryers, and I find the exterior gets just as tacky as well - any tips to clean the exterior?

Rather than let it cool for half an hour, I pour out the grease into a container while it's still hot and liquid. This makes much more sense to me than letting the grease congeal and having to use paper towels to mop it up.

Then just add soap and water directly in the basket with rack. Enough water to cover the rack. Cook for 4 min 400. Dump soapy water and rinse! No scrubbing needed!

What about rinsing off the soap...soap contains chemicals... that will end up in cooked foods‼️‼️‼️
