hey man, Im a PDR tech. and you helped me not break the customer interior. i had to take apart because i unhooked the the cable on the handle with my dent tool. don't aways know how these things come apart. life saver
Good info, Thanks. On a 2017 Q5, the exterior passenger B pillar trim was cracked from an attempted break into car. So I needed to pull off the door panel in order to pull of the interior door frame trim. This is needed so the window gasket can be placed back around at metal lip on the door, you can pull the trim off with out removing any trim, but I don't see any way to get the U shaped part of the rubber back around the lip. Ok so lessons learned, I would use a metal door trim tool, it is like a spatula and has a U opening on it, so you put that on the retaining clips and try to pull them out from the door. These appear to the push pin type of clips, and also appear to be one and done, so I would order how ever many you need. For the this car I think is 8? If you pull on the panel, some of the clips will pull off the panel and remain in the door. So you have to pull those out and reinstall them on the door panel, which has U shaped openings, but most will be broken.

Hi yes you probably need to because there is some screw that hold the switch 🤔 if I remember....cheers
Can you get to the outer door panel with it off . Put a small dent near the top of the door panel.
Yes just have to put the windows up before taking the door panel off
