Yep I realized it. Not used to locking the inventory slots yet :)
Get a drop box at the front door and sort at night perhaps
If you play often you end up being a loot goblin and the inventory management system comes in handy they added a lot of tricks to help.

They break through the spikes pretty quickly and they come all night long
