As someone who has been in this kind of relationship, it doesn't get better. The person says they're sorry and then repeats the cycle. People like Hardin are too narcissistic to realize they're the problem and don't have enough self-awareness to fix themselves. I don't think people should view this relationship as something they should have, but instead as something you should stay 10 feet away from.

I'M PHYSICALLY SHAKING!!!!!!!!!!!! This is hands down the best trailer we've gotten so far. This looks like it's gonna be the closest to the book. Jo and Hero look to be at the top of their respective games. We're gonna go out on a high note, A painful one but a High Note none the less. And with the rumor of the runtime being, 1hr59mins, We're gonna finally get everything we asked for. Of course I had to react to it on my channel, but this looks amazing and they really outdid themselves with this one.

Oh wow i didn't expect that, i didn't read the books so i have no idea what's gonna happen, and now knowing what Hardin was writing in his journal all the time blows my mind. Got to give credit to Anna Todd that actually is a brilliant idea to turn table like that and make it look like Hardin wrote After. Can't wait to watch this movie.
I also thought that was brilliant. A self help book for those dealing with addiction and anger management. Those ppl who says these characters r toxic shud read or watch till the end... it all boils down to that moment where Hardin's character has changed. And it's not only for himself but his family and all the people he reaches with his book. Glad they r showing a more I depth personality for Hardin. The 4th book to me was the best one. Cause they finally broke up and broke their cycle u know. Not that u asked😄... but yeah it looks like it will turn out interesting enuf.😀

Exactly. What frustrates me is how many young women and grown up women like these movies?! They find this romantic and believe this is Love. I say good riddance. Movies like these are the reason many young women/girls go into toxic relationships. I would prefer this movie did not make it to theaters but thats wishful thinking.

This was the first romance series i had read and it still has its effects on me. This world needs to learn about loyalty and how to fight for unconditional love from these books. I hope I find my Tessa in my life too.

After ever happy literally my favorite After book. So many emotional moments in it. I'm going to cry my eyes out throughout the entire movie I know it and I'm not even a type who cries watching movies at all and that says something. 😳🥺
Edit: Just like I thought I would, I did cry my eyes out in the theater. My sister who was next to me was also crying most of the time. It was really emotional. I really loved it. In my opinion it was the best out of all 4 and I'm not gonna spoil for some people but the ending got us all in the theater like "WHAT?!" but in the good way. 🙃

I’m excited to see After Ever Happy play out on the screen! I read the books and always was fan but the last book has always been my favorite. I love that Hardin actually got the help that he needed and I enjoyed the twist of Hardin being the one to write the After books. Tessa and Hardin definitely needed their break up because they ended up coming back stronger than ever
I just watched all three movies and I’m emotionally exhausted. The movies weren’t bad and overall looking at the dynamic of the relationship yes it is toxic. To be honest I have been in a relationship like this and I know a lot of people have been in relationships like this when they were younger unfortunately there are broken people out there and there are people who think they can Fix them. All the characters are messed up in this movie they are all codependent upon each other.

I find it interesting how we were introduced to Tessa's thoughts while writing about her After journey with Hardin. Given a glimpse into her words and relationship obstacles. Now, to know the insights of his views and thoughts in his own words, will be very fascinating and I suspect will support the title of this new and last chapter.

I’m going to speak a very strong very unpopular opinion. But to be honest, I really wished Anna used the movies, the revamp of her stories, to highlight toxic relationships and how to heal from them. Because this couple is so nostalgic for me but at the same time, they teach such a dangerous moral. Because we can’t ignore how incredibly toxic, manipulative, and downright abusive Hardin is. He is literally the epitome of the toxic man we block on social media for his manipulation and his gaslighting and his outright abuse. I don’t think everything about this story should or really could have changed but they’ve made plenty of changes and I personally feel like this could have been one of them. Retelling the story of Tessa and Hardin but one that is portraying a much more healthy outcome. Or if not and this is used to highlight how addicting toxic relationships can be and how hard it can be to leave, then a lot less romanticizing the two of them. I don’t know. I read every single book when I was younger but as I have gotten older, this story rubs me the wrong way.

I ahve been reading in the comments about how abusive Hardin amd Tessa relationship is. In my opinion it is not abusive at all, the only problem is trust in the relationships. For a guy like Hardin who grow up ib a broken home and witness many abuse and problems as a kid, it is obvious that he is broken, so falling in love with Tessa is already so unrealistic for him, he is trying to change for her, he wants to change for her and most importantly he wants their lives to ne different from the life he lived before. In this series of movies u can witness the unconditional love he have for Tessa, just by the way he looks and her, the way he is rrying to change his way and humble him self just for her. U can also see the way he see himsrlf unworthy of her and he is trying his best to be worthy. Everyone should realize that they are human they are aloud to make mistakes and then learn from those mistakes, and also want is a relationship without fights and in natural human instincts when one get annoyed they yell they cry and in this entire series all I saw was natural human instincts he may yell but he never ever show his dark aide to her he always challenges himself to be better for her and that is what a relationship is all about. So in my opinion it was not a abusive relationship it was a relationship with love, pleasure, healing, compatibility, friendship trust problems. I said healing because ever since Tessa entered Hardin life he has been healing from his pass slowly, starting to change his bad ways and find a way to be good again. If I where to say something about this movie I will say that this movie as a great the chemistry was fantastic and the story line was very realistic it has been a great time watching this movie and I am looking forward to After Ever Happy 😍😊😊😘😚
