The game has so many bigger problems that premium tanks being stronger ranks low on the list of problems for me.
If the HE changes never happened, this tank would be completely playable

HE changes is a good thing for some tanks. But they need to keep the old HE for some tanks, like KV-2 and this. Make a new HE shell designation or something, Mortar shell maybe and add it for HE derp tanks that has no other options (don't give them to like 60-TP for example)

@@zoimn2157 I think it's more of a support than front line, just come in and mop up type of tank - you definitely can't be brawling solo in this.
Wish I could try this for free, wanna try and snipe - I'm pretty nasty when it comes to sniping, I would bullseye with the T49 derp gun over 200 meters away
@@SevenSieteSeven wg either makes playable to bad tanks or strong to OP tanks. WG can't make balanced tanks, but they surely have great bank balance.

It feels like the ground resistance is very good and I like how the speed "feels". The gun is a troll, but I had some very funny rounds as I made it a ramming-tank. Crushing into others so I got their sides and pumping a nice shell into them right afterwards made me laugh endlessly ^^
It's possible to lob shells over hills like arty, first game deleted a tank ;)

I got all of the new premiums, not because I wanted to and spent a lot of money for loot boxes, but because I was lucky and got them in the lootboxes I bought (I set myself a limit for money spent). Tbh I am happy that those tanks are not OP at all, but special in their own way. That swedish tank has great damage, penetration and armor, but bad mobility and accuracy. The M IV Y is kind of like Renegade and the caliban is a meme. To conclude: No op tanks, but situational tanks

@@justjosh11 you're probably not spamming gold ammo then. That's what everyone does with that tank. Wargaming thinks they can balance a tank by giving it low standard AP, pretending that people won't just press 2.

the AP rounds on this are just dirty in how good they are. I've been taking on tanks like the 277 with easy with them
I’ve not got one but it’s nice to see wargamming introducing more fun to play tanks that you can have some derpy fun in, I’d rather have this in th game than say a tier 8 chieftain premium
encountered it recently. it has a premium AP shell that punch SOOOOOO HARD

Most hilarious review by Skill ever, GREAT entertainment! All HE I'd love to see this tank in the next episode of Horrible Monday. And we didn't see Skill shooting that 292 pen gold, also worth a full review, LOL.
I think this tank would work for me. I am not an aggressive player. My preferred playing style is tank destroyer. The GSOR was fun to play and it has a long reload as well. I have a good crew already to put in it if I get it in the boxes. I like big guns like these because when they do hit, they hit hard. You definitely have to have support tanks around or you are toast.
I think I will use turbo instead of vents. Sec slower reload is worth going 38km with 20 power to weight. Should make it much easier to set up better side shots for that 180 pen hesh. On city maps it will suck though and you need AP. Only shoot one or have to wait a entire minute to reload pretty much. That and finding opportunities to just take one hit then flank the tank to hit for 1700. Should feel somewhat like a down tiered conway with big gun then I think, at least close to mid range.
Vents doesn't just give you a faster reload, it boosts almost all of your stats in your tank
@@rylandercoleman2740 And 5km more top speed that it reaches is worth more imo than 2% ish faster aimtime / reload / ect.

From game play of this video and other videos I seen this is a support tank that has a niche of ridge lines maintaining a short to medium range not more than 400 meters. With the heat round the apcrs are more used for those long range targets. I would put vents the one module that reduces the bloom or aim time or turbo.

A mix of KW-2, FV4005 on tier VIII. Either you play as a HT in close combat (292mm penetration of gold ammo is quite impressive) or as a TD from the red line.

I managed to get the Caliban and its awesome skill. It feels like the old KV2 (pre he nerf) but with an auto reloader

I really like it but just using AP shells. Unless low hp or weak tank nearby. The intuition doesn’t seem to work correctly. One shell is in 5/seconds the other full reload.

im actually looking forward to pulling this tank from loot boxes. i feel as if many youtubers have been playing this tank too passively an somewhat sniping in it, causing a bit of a false representations of its true capabilities. i will update my opinion once i play the tank :)

The shell velocity and trajectory are insane. I did clip a Borat but that was pretty much point blank. The rest of the time is reloading and crying.

Damn it skill! I've seen 3 reviews of this tank, no one has touched the AP, and you had so many opportunities for it, especially in the 4th game.
I’ve watched three reviews of this tank each time this thing gets spotted instantly no matter where you are on the map the reload time is horrendous the accuracy at any distance beyond 30 m is 30% hit chance The nerved HE shells are a joke this is just not a good tank.. it reminds me of a faster moving artillery.

well, caliban has a worse dispersion on movement and turret traverse than a m40/m43 has. one of the worst t8 artas on that point xD

The only thing i can see that would make playing with this tank interesting, is if you had a custom match setup where everyone was in a caliban. other than that. the kv2 does better.

Awesome Epic Guys were playing this with the ap ammo and it performs much better than HE.
my first impression was this tanks needs 3 or more tanks to make up for its slow reload. Not enough support and it will be charged and killed fast. Seems ok frontal armour, but the sides are paper. Might be ok in a city global map defence, do not go into open areas.
how can you use improved aiming directive, I cant find it in directives?
Is this the longest aim time (Greater than Arty) combined with the longest reload (Greater than Arty)?

Even penetrating someone from time to time is not enough, it is just garbage, if this tank would have better accuracy and aim time, maybe it would work, but other than that, sorry, i dont want to play this tank, after 6 games half of them was

The Caliban is great! It must be played midrange to close range and you must spam gold to make every shot count because of the long reload times. I've been doing 3k of damage on average.
I got it in the boxes, but I HATE derp guns so much! I’ll try it in a month when teams are back to normal and maybe have some fun with it, but it’ll probably end up collecting dust in my garage
AP seems to be more consistent for me, playable shell velocity and great pen
Shooting ap you can shoot wait 22 seconds then shoot 2 more and you just delt 1800 damage in a time of 25 seconds. Now that doesn't mean you could have to load the shells from the start but that's what the tank can do

Load full AP and go point blank derp 600 average to the face with 292 pen. Fire one round and reload unless you know you can kill with the second. You are second rank assistance tank stay behind the heavies and peak -a- boo. Run a turbo you will need the speed also a gun laying drive for the aiming.
This tank is excellent for flanking, just wish it was faster. Side shots go in more often than not too.
Skill , I have a GSOR, I never realized you got more than 4 shots,,it turns out that it does reload..once,,if your lucky.
skill, i noticed you never save your 2nd shell and thus lower your dpm in half.... tank is not great but 180mm HE could work sometimes

I get the feeling the one who designed this tank also designed the British Lights - I see no redeeming features to this tank and it needs a significant buff in either the reload time or the mobility to make it playable.
