Please meet almost normal bicycle but with one modification - square wheels! This concept is fully working and you can ride and make turns. Createing and istallation square wheels on bicycle has been one of the most craziest projects we've ever built. Lot's of attention guaranteed 🙃

Finally i can stop at red lights without getting off the bike, nice. Totally not overcomplicated with the tires needing upwards of 10 work hours to replace when the profile is worn down. Love it! 😂
You should take the bike on a ride in a populated area, where people look in amazement and be like, "What the!?" 😂😂
The physics of turning a bike actually requires the ability to lean. As far as I see, this bike can only go straight. Maybe a 5 degree turn.

I also don't see brakes aside from fixie-style pedal control. I wouldn't want to be in the way

@@MPaxsu probably can turn the bike like a tricycle. with some adjustment and tuning it probably will work. the wheel itself is similar to tank/snowmobile. maybe work better in a snow day

And this is just simply mindblowing; I guess this is the perfect bicycle for those who don't know how to ride the traditional circular-wheeled bicycle.
I thought it would spin like tires hahaha, but technology changes dynamically and has its progress, this invention is cool!

The only thing distracting about the setup is that, since the "wheels" themselves aren't rotating, the spokes don't move, either. Idea: Maybe put a solid covers over the spokes, with drawings of motion-blurred spokes on those covers to round out the effect. Would really make the eyes/mind of onlookers go "Baroooo..."! :-)

Dude, what about a display that plays a loop? That would be dope. I’d do so that when I’m riding, it would show the loop, but when I’m not peddling, it would show a commercial break…

I think the gyro effect is gone and the risk of falling is higher, but I think it looks great.

Gyro effect is too weak to keep bike upright anyways. Bikes balance by turning into the fall, which this one can do
Gyro effect may be too weak on its own, but it makes all the difference in stability. There are reasons you never see him make any actual turns, beyond just the lack of gyro

@@andrebartels1690 It looks like when the wheels are added to the bike at the end, he is actually fixing them in place. In fact, the rear can't move at all due to how the chain is attached. Wouldn't that make it so that it can't ride on anything aside from the completely flat surface shown in the video?
I guess its technically rideable, but with some more though about the shape of the wheel, it could go from "rideable" to actually rideable. One example being if you look at tanks, they don't use a right angles on their treads. The right angles on these wheels mean that its taking a lot more effort than it needs to turn the crank and its going to have trouble going over even the smallest obstacles.

Ustedes solo ven el movimiento, pero si se dan cuenta existe un arrastre 100% considerable en el material de la llanta al suelo para avanzar. Es como si arrastraras el plastico todo el tiempo para poder avanzar y teniendo en cuenta que el arrastre es con peso entonces el desgaste es mucho mayor.
Quiza la palabra arrastre esta mal usada y deberia usarse la palabra tallar pues en general eso hace mas que girar
I can only imagine the insane amount of effort it would take to propel this thing forward. Driving it a block is probably equivalent to riding 5 miles on a normal bike.

Hilarious. On first sight i thought i was going to see someone making the squares revolve like normal circle tires, i was thinking corners would need to be accounted for. I imagined something akin to stairs climbers for carts. I did not even begin to imagine tracks that rotate around the square like a tank. will i see that square tire bike make a show at RAGBRAI 2023?
Great video and a dream come true indeed, I am a new member of the channel. After being amazed, I always asked myself the question about something else, could it be possible to create a square ball, extremely square and not round that can bounce? It doesn't matter if it's basketball, I think it's something that people have ever imagined, that can possibly come true. Although I don't know if physics allows it. Greetings.😅
it's definitely possible with a frame inside of it, however due to the corners it would bounce unpredictably
