- Thank you, once again, to the wonderful people that have participated so far this month in the mass make March challenge. The inspiration is over the top! This video offers a few options of ways to create and use belly bands in your journals. In this video I mention or show digitals from:
Debbie @pouringmyartoutforthelord

Thanks Cori, now I now exactly what I want to do in my new fabric journal that I made . An ideas journal. I totally appreciate you. Have a super fantastic day Sherry PS I hope everything goes well for you at work next week 😊
Thank you, Sherry and happy creating ❤
I really appreciate all of these! I feel like we tend to overthink things often and think our journals need fancy flips and flaps and things and it’s a great reminder that we all fell in love with these simple things first and we need to not forget them!
Agree 100%. I almost called this series of videos “back to basics”, but it’s me and I could add in a twist or two 😊
It’s so funny that I recognize a lot of your embellishments from the past as I have a bunch of them too. I’ve been in paper crafting for a long time and have always loved to collect cute embellishments. Love your detailed style and am making one of your mini squirrel journals now. Can’t wait to begin decorating and using some of these ideas.
Aren't squirrel journals just happy things?! And, it feels really good to use up some of those really older paper crafting items that have been in the stash for a year or ten. Thank you, Pam and hello 😊
I’m a huge fan of the belly band! I love the diagonal design!!❤ definitely going to try that!! Thank you Cori! And that paper !!😮🎉
- Terri
That’s great Terri. I’m happy to hear you got an idea that you’re able to use 😊

I’m happy you like them Nancy, and you’re very welcome 😊
Such cool belly-band options to tuck, preserve our memories!! Agree less is more!! LOVE the digi's you've used too! Oh and your clusters are my fave!!
Why is it that clusters are such happy things? When I'm blue or cranky I can make some and they always lift my mood. So, thank you 😊
Hi Cori! Another extraordinary video! I love the ideas of putting tuck spots and pockets on your belly bands. I will definitely work on some!!! Thank you as always. I hope you're feeling a little better today. Take care!!!
I appreciate your messages and your kindness. Thank you, Pat 😊
These videos are amazing! We need more like these that shows basics and how many options we have.
Thank you, Carmen. I’m a big fan of basics 😊
Thanks Cori. Once again I can’t wait to open up my journal and add a variety of belly bands to several pages.

Love this video! Thank you!
You are so welcome and thank you 😊
Cori - Time Stamp. 4:42 - shows a lovely green geometric pattern paper. Would you please tell me which paper pad collection that came from.
This entire video is so smart … so inspirational! Love allllll the tips, tricks, flips & flaps. Such a creative mind you possess! Thank you, Cori!
You are making all of us better & more excited about this insane love of all things paper!
Hi Debbie! That whole journal, and all the patterned paper in it, are Stamperia Forest. I love their line and that paper is just wonderful to use!
Cori - many thanks! Always happy with Stamperia - until I received the Roses, Lace & Wood - totally defective. Most of It was Blurred, blobs of ink, etc. I decided to keep it & paint on it.
Luckily, I will be receiving that beautiful “Forest” paper today (based on your video). Ordered “Imagine” also. So excited!
xoxo

@@BigGrannydb I hope you contacted Stamperia and let them know you revels defective kit. I’ve been very impressed with their products and I would think they’d honor a replacement for you. I also love the Atelier des Arts set and I’m really hoping to be able to purchase the Vicky P line soon ♥️ Happy creating!
I also love the “Atelier de Arts” … Gorgeous! The “Old Lace” was incredible. Just that one Roses pk was disappointing. I could have easily returned it thru Amazon, but chose not to. Probably owe it to Stamperia to let them know it was defective. Noticed that many reviews of the pack also experienced less than perfect paper …. So I feel sure they are aware.
Thanks Cori, really inspiring and what a great group of creative crafters.❤️🇨🇦
Yes they are! I’ve really enjoyed seeing all the makes and I’ve been continually inspired by the creativity shared ❤
Thanks for sharing your creative mind. Your projects are always amazing. So many " why didn't I think of that" moments! 🤗💕
Thank you! 😊
Loved them. I love how simple they are. Hope you’re doing well. Right now I’m enjoying Spring Break over here in Texas.
God bless Texas! I only lived there for 3 years, but I love that state. Thank you and I hope you enjoy your break!
Thanks Cori. X
You’re welcome, Debbie 😊
What a great video Cori. I absolutely love your clusters, and belly bands are so underrated. You put the 2 together, and you have a work of art. Lol, you are the queen of clusters.
Lol! It’s good to be queen 😂 I hope an idea or two inspired you!
More great ideas and reminders of past makes. One of my favourite videos to rewatch is one of your early ones where you show a small journal you made. A TON of ideas in that one. Thanks again Cori!! 😘
Thank you, Linda! I’m still fond of those little journals, in spite of all their imperfections 😊
@@CoriDahmen Stop it! There are no such things as imperfections in art. They’re called opportunities. 😘
Love this!!!
Thank you 😊
Thank you, Cori. Another excellent compilation of some of your belly band ideas! You’re like my walking encyclopaedia! 😘 😀💞
Lol! That I should know a fraction of that information. Thank you, Keryn 😊
We all love a good belly band, so, thank you for all your inspiration to make them with a different take. 😍
It was my pleasure Gaye. I hope one or two of them sparked your interest ❤
Thanks so much for the shout-out Cori! I love this challenge. I have a couple more mass makes to show, so much fun! I really love your rectangles yesterday and your belly bands today. I love how you show so many different options - really gets the creativity moving!
Thank you, Debbie and I’m looking forward to enjoying your next make 😊
So talented. Great video
Thank you so much!
"la vita è un sogno"❤️
Amen!
Hi Cori, I don’t have a CZcams channel or junk journal Instagram but I’m joining the mass make and I’m having lots of fun. Thank you for the ideas and all your inspirations. ❤
That’s great! I’m happy you’re joining in, and that you’re having fun with it ❤
I always seem to forget about belly bands. I am off on holiday on Friday so plan to do some master boards while away if I get twitchy and need to craft. Belly bands could be something they become. I had to smile about saying the wrong name. I was always getting fixated with the wrong name for my students. One got called Megan for 2 years, her name was Gemma! Thankfully she found it funny and in the end answered to Gemma … I am still not sure I got those names the right way round 😂
Lol! I totally understand that Gez. It’s usually my own kids that I call by the wrong name and I always ended it with “you know which one you are!” They’re all adults now, and they still roll their eyes at me 😊
Hi Cori I was enjoying your video then I saw the ruler you were using and that would be so helpful. so I was wondering if you could tell me the name of it or where I could purchase it
Thank you, Paula. I'm fairly sure that was a gift and I know it was purchased at a quilt supply store because they carry a variety of see-through rulers in a number of sizes.
Perfection as usual, Cori! Have been binge watching your channel for a while now, and one of my favorite things about your work is the muted tones you use, which I love. Everything seems to have a kind of sepia feel to it. Do you coffee stain everything , is it just the color of paper you use or do you ink everything to achieve that? I prefer muted tones and find that most papers are too white for me. Please tell! And love this book!
Thank you, Yolande 😊 I coffee dye most things, because I also love a muted, neutral palette.
Cori. Where did you get ruler with holes in it?
Amazon. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0B1VXJ92M?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
What is the name & source for the papers you used for the pages in the “belly band book”? They are beautiful!!
That journal, at the beginning, is all Stamperia Forest pattern paper. I love that line 😊
Wonderful ideas Cori! As always! Thanks for the inspiration!🫶🏼 ps would love to know the name of Traciie’s kit you used if possible. I looked through but didn’t recognize it. Just turned on the video before and you told me the name of it! Thank you so much!🤣
The background pages are Tattered Paint. She has three different kits in that line and two of them are background pages. I absolutely love them! So very easy to use.
