I am in the learning process of junk journals and working on clusters. It’s hard to not wish mine looked like yours, but also know I have to find my own style. Lots of practice and patience but having lots of fun! Thanks for sharing your tips and inspiration!
The great thing about it is there's no wrong way to do it. Just do what you like best, that's what u do. If I love to look at it, I'm happy 😊
It’s a continual learning process, which is what I think makes it fun! The beauty of so many techniques in junk journaling is that it’s only paper, so not much output if you don’t love the outcome. Have fun learning Susan!

Maybe the next time you make them really look at the finished piece and ask yourself what, specifically, you don’t like. The colors? Patterns? Blend? Balance? Size? Configuration? I think if you pinpoint what you’re dissatisfied with, it will help you make small changes so you can create something you like.

This tutorial was great! I have not used embossing powders yet. Boy do I like your clusters. The idea of making them ahead of time is perfect. I have envelopes full of them ...... got a little carried away one night.🤦♀️

A great refresher of the many different ways and items that can be included in clusters. Embossing is something i haven't done in ages, so I'll have to pull my gear out and get to it. Thank you, Cori.

You do make great clusters. I like how you emboss flowers and Ive yet to try the scrap toss and dye thing that I first saw Louise do. Your bits of scraps turned out amazing.

I bought one of your ephemera booklets. It is a piece of art! I got the “B”! I have sewed and done crafts since I was a teenager, made my clothes in HS and made my Wedding dress., that my youngest daughter wore in 2014.. was so shocked🤦♀️. I have seen a lot durning my journey and one day I would love to have one of your immaculate journals! Just starting this Junk Journal Journey . .. Been glued to CZcams since Christmas. Any non-permanent markers will work. Just use the marker in the colors you want and stamp.

I love making clusters! I know mixed media types like these are my very favorite! I've been looking for masculine ephemera for masculine cards. These clusters are marvelous for that! Thanks so much for showing! I want to get back into making these. Does your craft room get a little messy when you are in the creating mode? LOL! Mine sure does!!
LOL. It does get a "little" untidy, but I just can't think amidst a mess (my poor students know this all too well) so it never gets too out of hand.

Hello and welcome! I generally only sell items when I’m raising money to buy books for our novel studies or supplies for my students (I teach 5th grade) . Since December, 10 people I knew fairly well have passed away. The oldest of them was 55. Among those people was the father of a student. I have been donating the money I’ve raised from the scrap and stamp cluster kits, the ink boxes and the buy me a coffee donations to help those people and families a little bit.
@@CoriDahmen Thank you for clarifying. My condolences for all the losses you have been experiencing. It is sweet of you to assist the families. I also applaud you for being a fifth grade teacher. I am 69 now. Although I generally have a very poor memory, I still remember how important they were to me.
I have so much crafting stuff...and this junk journaling looks like fun. I don’t know what you do with them when you’re done. I don’t think anyone I’ve watched has shown what to do with them

People use them differently. Many keep them as decorative pieces. More use them as journals to write ideas, thoughts, life happenings, etc. some use them as photo albums and others, like me, use them for a combination of things. I save photos, memorabilia and stories in mine.
