what if i dont want to hear the audio but only output it ? how to do it
You could set up voicemeeter to take in the obs preview audio and microphone audio as input, and output it through a virtual cable that Skype or whatever can pick up, so you don't have to hear it
This is ground-zero for the shit teachers are gonna have to deal with for the next few months or so

this is probably a dumb question, but where is the vcam button on the drop-down menu for tools in OBS 29.0.0? I can't seem to find it lol

virtualcam is a plugin you need to install
I've tried this and this works with a video just on apps, but i tried the default one that can only show an image and does not have the virtual cam feature ( the one with the obs cam picture ) it's just there and you can only put a new image by going to win-dshow and put another 1920 x 1080 image and name it placeholder, i deactivated that one and installed the one that you used in the video, i tried on omegle and other sites, it only worked on my discord

how do i exclude an app from voicemeeter?
i only want it to pick up audio from a certain app but it just picked up desktop audio
If you go to that certain's app audio settings, you can probably set its audio output to voicemeeters virtual cable so only that gets picked up

i got OBS from steam and it came with the virtual cam thing but the video is flipped how can i fix it?
There should be a filter to flip it, but unfortunately unsure, this is very old now

Super late reply but can use OBS screen capture and crop screen onto the video feed of the other person and lock their camera so it doesn't move, then use the OBS virtual cam as your output to zoom

@@KianBrose just for info, everything works just the virtual cam settings are not in the same place they were before hahahhaha, they are now by the start recording button, sooo... i just used ur tutorial and it works, just needs a little calibration

the name is misleading, I thought there is a problem in Zoom sending mp4 in chat but your video is about "How to run video instead of your webcam" (or maybe it's my english too bad))). Still as always, short and informative
Good point, I did some research in Google search console and it seemed like more people were searching for the word "send" than "run" so I named it "send" so that it's more likely of being found
