A Johnson rifle was famously used by U.S Marine Medal of Honor recipient Robert Dunlap in 1945 on Iwo Jima. He personally praised the rifle and credited the weapon with saving his life on many occasions and kept it as a souvenir when he returned home. A statue built in his honor depicts him carrying this rifle.

The M1941 Johnson rifle is a Rotary mag rifle which can be reloaded via stripper clips
that is a far more interesting design than the diet fg42 they had in cod ww2

It will be hard creating an animation that is more beautiful than Battlefield 5. Enlisteds is to fast, and Hidden and Dangerous isn't even the right gun. Days of War is ok.
It's a shame this rifle isn't as popular as the M1 Garand.

The M1941 Johnson is the basis for the light machine version called the M1941 Johnson. The Israelis would later copy the LMG into the Dror.

M1941 존슨 소총은 존슨 오토메틱스에서 제작한 반자동 소총으로 M1 개런드 다음으로 두번째 반자동 소총으로 이총의 희한한 점은 탄창 구조가 로터리형 회전식 구조로 되있지만 그다지 좋게 보지 못했는데 1939년 6월에도 테스트를 하게 되는데 30-06탄을 더블칼럼에서 싱글칼럼으로 변경한 탄창이다보니 총몸에 장착된 내부탄창의 길이가 두배가 되어 총상하부에 돌출되므로 외부 충격에 취약하다는 문제점으로 인해 결국 좋은 답변을 들을 수 없었고 결국 존슨의 가장 큰 특징인 로터리형 회전식 탄창으로 개량하여 미 해군과 미 해병대에 제출하지만 이마저도 퇴짜맞고 만다.
근데 이걸 구매한 국가는 네널란드였고 물론 노르웨이 역시 샘플용으로 몇정 구매하였지만 노르웨이 침공 때문에 무산되고 자유 프랑스에도 도입하려고 하지만 이마저도 실패했다.하지만 M1 개런드가 부족해지자 미군은 이걸 땜빵용으로 구매해서 써먹었는데 뭐 다들 알다시피 영화 캡틴 아메리카 퍼스트 어벤저에서 하울링 코만도스 저격수인 버키가 쓴 총도 이것 존슨 소총이다.근데 정확히는 저격용으로 개조한 모델이다.
결국 존슨 소총은 얼마 안가 미군에 퇴출되어 일부 유럽 국가에 공여되는데 여기에 중화 민국 즉 대만도 이 총을 썼지만 거희 대부분 국공내전때 중국 인민 해방군에 의해 노휙되어 써먹고 만다.
그래서인지 게임에서는 많이 등장하지 않는다.
The M1941 Johnson rifle is a semi-automatic rifle manufactured by Johnson Automatics. It is the second semi-automatic rifle after the M1 Garand. The strange thing about this gun is that the magazine structure is a rotary type, but it was not viewed very favorably. It was also tested in June 1939. 30 -06 Because the magazine was changed from a double column to a single column, the length of the internal magazine mounted on the gun body was doubled and it protruded from the top and bottom of the gun, making it vulnerable to external shock. In the end, we could not get a good answer from Johnson. It was improved with a rotary magazine, its biggest feature, and submitted to the US Navy and US Marine Corps, but even this was rejected.
However, the country that purchased this was Netherlands, and of course, Norway also purchased a few as samples, but it was canceled due to the invasion of Norway. They also tried to introduce it to Free France, but even this failed. However, when the M1 Garand was in short supply, the US military purchased this as a spare and used it. As everyone knows, the gun used by Bucky, the Howling Commandos sniper, in the movie Captain America: The First Avenger is also a Johnson rifle. But, to be exact, it is a model modified for sniping purposes.
In the end, the Johnson rifle was soon withdrawn from the U.S. military and given to some European countries. The Republic of China (Taiwan) also used this gun, but most of them were exploited by the Chinese People's Liberation Army during the Chinese Civil War.
Maybe that's why it doesn't appear much in games.
