Your observations reflect my experience shooting the stage as I look back on it. It was a tough match but one thing I really enjoyed was how well it was RO’d. Thank you to all of you who spent your weekend doing it.

Hi FBHO1! It was a tough match for you shooters for sure with that wind. Good luck in the rest of the year and thanks for watching my friend!

I was there as an RO as well. Two stages down at Stage 8, the Pig Hunt. This stage was fairly simple and straight forward. One pig at 400, one at 533, 6 positions, 2 shots each position, one near then one far. My first time to RO a match like this. Great experience. It definitely gives you a different experience than shooting one. I was on glass the whole time. Gave me a chance to watch the wind and plate movement.

Hi Larry! Sounds like a great stage to RO. Overall, I had a great time and wish I had the desire to shoot 2-day matches, but I just don't any longer. Thanks for watching my friend!

@@The4GunGuy Thanks for doing your videos. Lots of great info for us new shooters. I have shot a couple of local one day matches up north of Dallas. Not really ready to shoot 2 day matches. I’m not a real serious competitor. Jist like ding it for fun and the challenge.

@@larrybradshaw-cc1qv The BEST way to learn how to really shoot a PRS match is to RO a 2-day like you did. I'll wager that you took away the "do's and don'ts" of what to do and how to do it. You'll be much better prepared than those new shooters who actually shot it in my opinion.

It was a pleasure to have you as a RO at one of the most complicated stages. Great job and look forward to seeing you again!

Thanks Jason! It was really fun, but I think next time, I'm going to just follow my squad buddies and help them where ever I can. Thanks for watching my friend!

This was one of my favorite stages! I got a 9 after dropping the first 2 shots due to a bad wind read! You did a heck of a job Tony! I'm inspired to RO a match!

Hi Jason! You were one of the few who scored 9 or above and isn't it great when you properly adjust for that wind and don't get flustered? Thanks for the kind words and for watching my friend!

You did a great job, as an RO! As much as I enjoyed the BIT, I sure would like to see the original BIT match format make a comeback (12 or so stages in a 1 day match), for the very reasons you mentioned (cost, time, logistics, etc). Not complaining, just an observation. Oh, and I timed out when I got to the culvert! Lol

Hi GMG! I agree and think that the sport is getting a bit out of hand cost wise, especially for a 2-day match. And don't feel bad, I'd say a good 75% timed out on the last or next to last position...I'm going up there soon and I'm going to do a stage video on that stage to demonstrate how difficult it really was. Thanks for watching another one my friend!

Your comment regarding the new shooters was a bit off base brother. Of course they are going to do poorly but you made it sound like you they shouldn’t have even been there. That attitude and gatekeeping will kill the sport. If they were safe who cares how they did, at least they were there and hopefully they learn something for next time.

Hi Sniper! I'll stick by my statement that a brand new shooter, who has NEVER shot a PRS match, should not shoot a 2-day match. It's not gatekeeping, it's simply saying that I believe you should get a couple monthly matches under your belt, understand the mechanics of the equipment, understand the concept of having a "trued" rifle, and finally, understand the positional movement involved. In the video just before this one, I talked about how I, and other squad mates coached brand new shooters in a one day match, and were happy to do so...To grow the sport. But a 2-day match is a different story in my opinion. Thanks for watching my friend!
