And that plumber didn’t change the diverter on the first visit, so he got a callback and had to replace the diverter on a second visit ;)
Having this issue now. It's very loud.
@@hboogie8759 out of the spout or diverter? I found changing out the mixer valve cartridge helps.
@@tb6237 diverter. I have a Moen. Monday I'm calling them for a free replacement.
Moen has lifetime warranty to the original purchaser (or owner if property is new) and will send replacement parts for free. No need to buy unless you are in some rush.
That is one of the big reasons I recommend Moen to those who ask about faucets.
Just looked and diverter valves don't seem to be included.

I am having trouble finding a white rubber gasket of the appropriate size (old diverter didn't have it, but the new one could use it). Can you provide any sources for the gasket? Thanks!
Problem is, 10 years after installation, no one sells that make or model of spout anymore. Whole new setup required.
Great video! I was able to change out the one in my bathroom. Where can I find the silicone gasket? They didn't have it at menards or on amazon.

I put a new tub spout on and mine was is making a whining noise. My old spout had a sweat on which I replaced with a tub spout that has a sweat on fit.

Do you see any signs of damage to the diverter and internal parts?
It’s still making the noise. I am wondering if I should just return the tub faucet and put a new one on to see if it fixes it. Everything seems fine with everything else
