Roscoe is so old he was around when they had pony motors on bulldozers. For those wondering what a pony motor is. It was a small gas engine attached to a diesel engine. You started the pony motor to warm up the desiel engine. They were common in cold weather states.
A pony motor cranks the diesel engine. It takes the place of an electric starter typically on big diesel engines that were hard to turn over. Its only purpose is to crank the engine.
I'm still having trouble with the hole 2023 and fuel injection with a choke cable in the cab. I've never seen a gas engine that ran the dozer. Or fuel injection that needs a choke.
It varies who it follows but mostly it’s be aware that a specific person can and will find a way to either break, destroy, or burn something if given the chance. Even if you believe its impossible it will be fucked beyond repair.

Carbs are basically only used in small engines (push lawnmowers, weedwackers, maybe rototillers) nowadays. Also, diesel engines adopted Injected fuel before gasoline.
